This was a great tutorial. Your presentation was the only one I have really been able to follow and get results. TY. Can I have a transparent boarder? If so, how can I achieve that effect?
This tutorial is awesome, my photo was so gorgeous!!! I followed it perfectly until the last step, unfortunately I was unable to apply it to the next photo and I lost my adjustments layer 😫 I think I need to do it all over again
Amazing effect! Love it! Unfortunately, my card is (probably) older than 5 years and the oil paint filter, as well the 'use openCL' are grayed... I just can't use them :( Would you have another way to mimic the oil paint effect in this tutorial? Maybe gaussian blur or something? Thank you for the video!
@Pixivu
2 жыл бұрын
Instead of the oil paint step apply Filter>Stylize>Diffuse>Anisotropic + Filte>Blur>Surface Blur>20,10. it will give you a good result but not the same as the oil paint filter.
Hi! This works wonders, thank you so much!! Is there a way to recreate in Affinity Photo? Great job! Keep up!
This tutorial is great and easy to follow. I followed it to a t. I only have one question. How do you change the canvas size to fit the size of a picture if the pic is not the same ratio as the canvas and watercolor filter?
Thanks bro!!

Great tutorial, thanks very much. How do you create the "watercolor texture.png?" I would like to have one that is larger. I tried enlarging the one I downloaded from the description and resized it, but it caused something strange to happen to the colors. Thanks again for a wonderful tutorial. It is exactly what I was looking for.

I made it using some free brushes and texture images.
This is so helpful! Everything worked for me except the CTRL + S part - I am stumped. Anyway to find out how to update the smart object without those keywords?
Is the a way to save the effects and when you create a new size canvas import these layers so you dont have to keep adding all the filters each time??
Good channel

I love this watercolor effect. Thanks for sharing this. Does anyone have any hints for printing? I printed a couple of my photos with this effect but it looks much less pronounced on the print. Stepping back a few feet and it looks like a regular print. Any thoughts?
@doubt_

What paper are you printing on? Also, have you adjusted the image for CMYK printing? If you want the effect to be more pronounced, I recommend playing around with colors to have a more stylized image. This can be done by adding a Gradient Map adjustment layer and playing around with its blending mode, color grading and opacity.
Awesome video, Thank you so much! One of my images, the faces become really hard to tell it's the person, which steps would I need to adjust the opacity so that faces are more define?
@Pixivu
Жыл бұрын
Just increase the image size by 500px or 1000.
Which PS do I need to have in order to do this the way that you do ?
Wow, I made it hehe
i have download you video, thanks pixivu
LOVE this effect! 💙💙💙Thanks! But it doesn't work so well with people's faces...how can I apply it to people's pics to make it less blurry and more watercolor realistic faces?💯💯💯
wow
I may have missed it but did you explain why you added the white mask to the initial image?
5:28 it's already perfect, I don't wanna continue 😂😂😂
I loved the tutorial - very comprehensive. I was unable to find the links to the border and texture templates. Is it possible for you to provide those? Thanks very much, I will keep watching your tutorials.

My finished product just doesn't look like this. The Dry Brush filter creates a weird pattern of squares across my image. Not sure if my image size has anything to do with it. I'm working with a 5000x5000 image. The effect you achieve in your video is amazing. Thank you for creating the tutorial.
Which photoshop it is for working same like this ?
👏👏👏👌
I really like the tutorial thank u please would you can send me link for the textures you use in the tutorial

Hello Sami, It's free in the description below the video
It's wonderful, but I'm getting pixelated edges after applying this effect. Can someone know how to fix this?
Does this work with older photoshop versions?
Can print the RGB color mode?
Holaaa :3❤🥺🥺🥺
Can i use it in photopea?
I'm confused how to i get the oil paint filter pleade Am I correct in saying that you create it yourself
where i can find the watercolor texture and the border mask? Thanks!

You need to make the project 8 bit (as in 0:38)
Is there a way to save the final effect in a file so you don’t have to do each step every time on a new picture?
@Pixivu
Жыл бұрын
After finishing the effect go to File > Save As, and save your file as PSD for any future use
If I want to resize the image size to, say, 8 x 10 300 DPI how can I do that so that when I Place Embedded, it will adjust properly. OR is there a way I can copy the "Effects" (i.e., the Smart Filters - unsharp mask, filter gallery, oil paint etc) and paste them onto another image? I've been trying to figure these two questions out and I'm about to go batty.

Just manually adjust it, not hard instead of using your hand on comment section, just use it on photoshop.
i want to do it on a photo with transparent background. how will I do it?
@Pixivu
2 жыл бұрын
Just follow the tutorial and @1:28 before making a smart object, right-click the texture layer and choose create a clipping mask. This way the texture will be applied only on the visible pixels of your photo.
I assume the 3000x2000 resolution isn't mandatory? Can I change it to a 16:9 resolution of comparable size or will that mess with the process?
@Pixivu
2 жыл бұрын
Yes change it and keep it in the range of 2000 to 4000 px, don't do for example 700px, as in this case, you'll get a very bad result.
@sanjaymehta9253
2 жыл бұрын
@anavrin then you will have do it manually every time you you use different size.
