I was suprised you did not mention the involvement of the Atomic Entegy Department, involvement of Mr. Nicholas (Nicholas , Fl) name sake and the mined material used in Nuclear weapons. Things seem to be looked over buy federal gov. When the DOD is involved. Thanks for show and bringing attention to bone valley . Appropriate name for the legacies it will leave for humans.

How many people does Mosaic employ in Florida? And whats the average wage?? Without phosphate, you can starve!! And food prices are high enough now, we dont wNt them to sky rocket! Its a trade off, always has been one! Just dont live in its path! Dont live in the path of hurricanes either!! Some areas in florida you cant build. Like the HUD commercial years ago up north said,"before you move to Rainbow City, make sure there is a Rainbow City there to move to!! Dont build or buy in a Flood Zone!! Thats another problem area in Florida! So wake up!!

When talking about the phosphate industry in general, I would ask people--do you like to eat? There is no way modern farming can grow enough food crops using zero-phosphate fertilizers. To put this another way--organic fertilizers are great. But can they produce the output of crops needed to feed a modern society? Simply put--NO. So when you dam the nasty chemical industry for mining and producing a fertilizer product for farmers to produce food crops that you will consume? Don't talk with your mouth full. You can have one--but you can't have it all.

Phosphate mining is a good thing. We use phosphate for a lot of things besides fertilizer.

Yes that's true but at what cost? Is it worth your family's health being compromised? Maybe Compromised is too soft a word , their health destroyed might be more fitting.
