I love that this is shorter and quicker than Words Their Way. Even splitting it into sections just helps to make it quick and easy to do a scan and see where students are at.
How long do you meet with your groups? I have your literacy schedule and have tried folllowing it but am struggling to do small groups. Would you do phonics small groups and reading groups?

That’s a really good question. In my class if a student is struggling with phonics (and basic spelling), that’s more important to address than reading strategies because right now they are learning to read then later they will be reading to learn ☺️☺️☺️
How many mistakes do they have to make in a section for you to decide that's the place to start?

It’s explained in my free screener - it depends on the section. Some sections are smaller, so just 1 or 2 errors, some sections are larger so 2-3 errors
