I love Edgeworth's solo so much. Not only is John phenomenal in all of his mannerisms and tone of voice, but it's so obvious what he's doing--Miles knows Phoenix works best under pressure. The whole song is a hoax to push him to think, really think, hence the whole "Better the devil you know, Wright" at the beginning. He's forcing Phoenix into a corner. The moment Wright gets desperate is the moment he thinks outside the box and finds the true killer. That's why Miles is prosecuting the case--he knows how to push until Phoenix thinks on his feet, and how to object his points until his case is airtight. And if you watch the way John gestures while singing, you can see it too--at 15:40, right after Phoenix says "Take it easy on me, Miles, whose side are you on?", he leans forward and makes direct eye contact. The tilt of his head, the modulation in the key, the sudden sincerity, all reading, "I am on your side. C'mon, Phoenix, *think.*" It's so good. Plus, it's catchy as hell. Anyway, I love it.

Ok after playing through Ace Attorney, I think there is an underrated bit of wordplay: "We've been through worse right?" "Like Clockwork." In cases 1-1 and 1-2, the critical piece of evidence was a statue of the Thinker that was a clock made by Larry Butz, and Maya was the defendant in 1-2 So not only was it a reference to Maya's previous record of being framed for murder, it also references Larry Butz himself, and how he made a clock that ended up killing Maya's sister. Damn.

The tension of each Ace Attorney case gives me goosebumps. Making one a musical just makes it a million times better.

Nah, MFPS' show is its own very cool thing, a feature-length Broadway-style show that tries to tell the whole AA1 story from the beginning, made to be a 3-hour live show. RE's Phoenix Wright: The Musical is a show that was developed from an original concept, which existed long before MFPS started releasing videos. RE's show tells a brand-new story in musical form, made to be released on KZread. It strives to please AA fans with new content for their favorite characters. So you see, they're quite different. They DO both have Phoenix Wright and music though ;)

This entire video was basically 35 minutes of Edgeworth going through his worst nightmares.

Spoilers for ace attorney ahead! It's amazing that miles never hated franziska at any point during the games, despite the fact that she's the daughter of the man who killed his father

honestly winston’s song abt phoenix being a loser was rly good

I'm impressed not just by how accurate are the impresonations and the trial but even the mannerisms are just on point. I just love it.

sixteen minutes in, i was wondering how long the song was, thinking that maybe only five minutes had passed... ah, to get caught up in random encounters songs to the point where you don't even realise how long you've been listening to something good stuff

Okay this is literally genius I've watched the entire 30 min video like a thousand times by now without getting bored. Truly a masterpiece. And also... I'm fangirling over the actor of Edgewort thanks.

The Beard could be a canon character in Ace Attorney and we would think of him as one of the more normal characters.

I love how perfectly portrayed all these characters are to the video game, And especially the small details like the gavel and the camera shot when Maya speaks.

After playing a Phoenix Wright game, I realized how well they actually did this. It feels like an actual case, and the dialogue is so close to how it actually is in the game
