The Fragrance of Dark Coffee (Godot's Theme)
Composed by Noriyuki Iwadare
From Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Trials and Tribulations
This is, by a pretty wide margin, my most viewed Piano Cover, so I guess it was only a matter of time before a tutorial got requested! Thanks to everyone who made that cover pop off so much!
I don’t have the original project file of my performance, so I made do with just the sheet music MIDI. Still the same arrangement, though!
If you wanna buy me some of that sweet, sweet dirt water ♡

I've been waiting for a good tutorial. One day I will play this in its entirety (I'm able to do the intro pretty well so far!!)

Greatest version, never in all my years would i have expected the tutorial version. I’m glad this exists even tho i can not play it because my midi controller only has 4 octaves… also because i cant play well enough yet

Thank you so much! I understand the feeling, I had a small keyboard early on for quite a while too and it was very limiting haha. But I hope you keep at it until you get there! Best wishes!

It's weird how it sounds so dissonant when played with only one instrument.

It's such a frustrating instrument. That is especially the case with these videos that skip around and don't show how to play the song, or go too fast

It just takes a lot of getting used to, be patient and you'll get there. I don't know what you mean by "skip around", but if you're referring to not having the fingerings, that's honestly just something you kind of have to get used to. A lot of scores (unless specifically edited to have them, say for some classical scores or beginners books) often won't have the fingerings either, because everyone's hands are different and it's something you learn to intuit overtime. (I did, anyway; mind you, I'm not classically trained). I couldn't tell you what the fingerings would be for a lot of this video just by looking at it either, because it's something I've always done by feel. I've found taking the time to figure out what fingering works best for you goes a long way in learning what's most effective and comfortable for you when the same chord shapes / melodic patterns come up. As far as the speed goes, you can use KZread's built-in playback features to slow it down, or you can download the MIDI file and use Synthesia on desktop for more playback options. drive.google.com/file/d/1Oj3d1rbvqjVxuHK_yspVz9wIruSx-BXE/view?pli=1 I'm sorry that the video is not to your liking, but this is just the way I make mine at the moment. Best of luck to ya.
