    Grew up in that area. Went to that school called Bethune Elem. Alkire Park aka Westside City and you are in the ghetto my friend. That spot has been a dope house for as long as i can remember, so many more like that in THAT neighborhood alone. The Cofelt projects are around the corner and Buckeye is no street to take a nice walk down. Love the video Big Super cause youre always showing the realest parts of my city

    Something is really wrong with all the rampant rent gouging. We need some sort of rent control, it’s becoming unaffordable.

  • @angieharris8015

    @angieharris8015

    2 жыл бұрын

    Rent control doesn't help, it hurts. People never move out of them thereby keeping the amount of rentals available, very limited. Plus, owners rather just sell them and get out of the business,, if they can't charge market price (to keep up with the costs of maintaining the property). Be careful what you wish for.

And you think to yourself, 💭🤔 wtf are they thinking ???? Being it’s landlords or sellers. They always think that their property is worth WAY more than it realistically is. A property is only worth what someone is willing to pay. If we keep giving to their overpriced rentals, they will continue to increase rent. In this market, seems like anything goes! Talk about taking advantage of people in need of a place to live! Makes me sick to my stomach!

    Right! I’m in the west valley, and work off the 303. At first my budget was 1k. Nada. I then raised it to 1100. I found something, but it would have been a 45-60 minute drive to work (one way). I raise it to 1200. I finally ended up finding something, sight unseen, for $1327. I am near the stadium (which my rent is good for the area). apartments on Goodyear/Avondale we’re going for $1400-$1500. If something cheaper came up, it was rented before I could even tour the property (hence me applying for mine sight unseen).

    I lived in Phoenix and surrounding cities for many years from 1986-2013, loved it for most of those years. it used to be a bargain, i was surprised how expensive it has become compared to when i left. its not a place i would move back to at this point. there has always been a large influx of people from California and colder parts of the country, but for me now its just way too many people. its not a bargain anymore that's for sure. Maybe a smaller town or ill just visit in the winter in my RV. Winter is the best!

    Great video, that switch I think is for the swamp cooler. Hard pass for myself, the questionable odor and it’s too small. I would price this at no more than $725 per month.

    If you have 1000 dollars to spent on that, you can afford to rent a room in a nice home or find a roommate! Unless you're jacked up! Sure that's a mansion to a person that's been sleeping rough, but 1000 dollars, get serious! 450 dollars at best! Probably smells like smoke inside. Ceiling was dingy!

    They use to rent for $250 in the early 2000s & that’s a fact. It’s so sad that the prices have gone up so fast especially in this situation the living conditions aren’t great & so on. 1000 use to get you a 3-4 bedroom house in the west. I guess times have really changed.

    If you can see downtown from the neighborhood, it's not generally one you want to be living in. And I wouldn't recommend taking a walk down buckeye to get downtown. Buckeye doesn't take you to downtown. West side city used to run a lot of stuff in that area I remember. I don't know if they're still around these days.

    Anywhere off the i17 is part of the avenues for the ho strolls and the hotel/motels are thick off the 17. Down there by buckeye/35 it's where the jails are and where inmates are released. Van Buren is close and that was the OG "stroll". It used to be busy. But not necessarily beautiful.

    There’s a place not incredibly far from there I think it’s called Starduster, a building supply place sort of like the thrift store of building materials. Been there years ago, great for cheap shelving used in a garage or shed. If you just need something functional not necessarily pretty good place to go.

    I would be curious if that house is permittee to be multi-unit rental. I nice phone call the city of phoenix would be my first call along the the housing authority. Property taxes on multi-unit rental would be more than just single residence? If you have the address can look it up on the Maricopa county assessors web sight.
