I think Bridgers covering Johnston makes perfect sense. Musically and lyrically, she's his descendant. We agree about how good this is, though. 😊

I never knew who Phoebe was until i heard her do this cover. I always loved this song since i heard it over a decade ago. Daniel was so good at explaining the sadness and helplessness of depression. She does such a good job encapsulating that. You make me feel feelings Phoebe. I love this

"Trying to make sense out of scrambled eggs". Beautiful. He's using Beatles metaphor's for the word "Yesterday", or saying "trying to make sense out of the past". Genius. This is the most beautiful version I've ever heard.

@@arthurderas Prior to the song "Yesterday" being finished, the lyric was "Scrambled Eggs". Mccartney/Lennon didnt have a lyric there yet, so they simply said "scrambled eggs"....Daniel knew this, I'm sure....

@@arthurderas pretty sure that lady is wrong. he’s referring to his scrambled thoughts. the line just before mentions how he lost his mind in junior high. idk how she came to that conclusion, unless i’m misunderstanding what she’s saying lol the whole song is about his struggle with mental illness

If anyone's interested I think it's an Epiphone Frontier FT-110! Possibly from the 60's or early 70's. Love the pick guard so much.

Try dropping your shutter speed to below 1/160 of a second. That's what I have to do with still photography... I assume video is about the same. LED lighting is similarly a pain in the arse.
