Loved hearing the info and history of the mother plant! I totally agree, moss poles are a GAME CHANGER for this one - it's rooted so well into the pole I've got mine on and the leaves are just getting bigger and bigger. I found the exact same thing with both the verrucosum and melanochrysum, so it makes sense. Still over the moon with mine, thank you so much! 💚

I bought a three leaf rooted cutting on eBay a few months ago, potted it in aroid type mix and slowly all leaves yellowed and when I inspected the plant, everything under soil was rotten! So I trimmed the stem and stuck it in a prop box with perlite, not expecting it to survive, but amazingly it pushed out roots literally within a week or so. It’s still in perlite and has now got two leaves, and I’m not sure what I’m going to pot it on in, possibly pon given how easily they appear to rot, or I might try tree fern fibre and perlite with some worm castings for nutrition. They are lovely, and Sydney plant guys is just incredible, as all his plants appear to be. Helpful video thanks 👍

I found it props quickly and easily in a prop box with coir, moss, and perlite. Wet sticks or small single leaf cuttings. Never tried any top cuttings

Hi from South Wales 😊 I have a splendid on a moss pole in a finer aroid mix, keeping the pole moist and it's climbing by itself and leaves are sizing up beautifully. Got it as a one leaf cutting 6 months ago and now has 5 leaves and one on the way.

I've been really wanting one of these after I finally tossed my struggle bus Melano. I love the look of both parents and heard this one is easier than the Verru.

I got a small cutting a few months ago from a seller that had it rooted and growing hydro. I’m not about that so I put it in stratum/ perlite with a leca water reservoir until I pot it up in a proper aroid mix which I plan on doing soon. It’s still so diminutive but just unfurled a gorgeous, albeit small, leaf. I’m looking forward to seeing it grow. Love your geeking & content 🪴💚!

Hello from Australia. Love your informative video’s. I’ve just put my Splendid on a grow vertical pole ( moss pole with the plastic back) The roots on mine atm are very fine and it’s in an aroid mix but I have to be so careful not to over 💦 Looking forward to seeing how your propagation with the moss goes 🤞

I got mine as a one leaf stem cutting with a bud, expecting the bud it to die, similar leaf size as yours with the existing lea but it rooted fast and well in a grow box in moss and is pushing out a leaf from that bud rn.. we'll see how that goes!

Plus my glorious is an absolute climber btw, elongated leaves.. quite a strong melano influence. Both for 15€ each in germany from others, growing in room humidity of 55% in my room with southwest windows. Both haven't had any pests YET, fingers crossed!

Hey Memo, can I suggest for you to put the availability section right after background? I just notice that you always mention availability in the background section of these review videos, and I think putting the two next together would make for a smoother flow (background and availability talking about how you got your plant, speed of growth and propogation talk about the growth, pests and accessories talk about your reactive measures when caring for it). I think it would also make sense to have them together because availability is specific to the time you got the plant, you talk about how you got the plant in the background. It's just something I thought would help, the sequence as it is now doesn't really detract from the useful information
