Thank you, some new plant parents need that reassurance of water meter. My version of dry or moist, might be totally different. Plus my nails too pretty to be sticking in soil all the the time.

I just got a philodendron brazil last week from the nursery. They had drenched it with water and the soil was soaking wet. I repotted it last night. Are the leaves supposed to be glossy. The leaves are so dull. What should I do as far as watering and light. Thank you.

Any soil mix top mine keeps dying 2nd time purchase looks like it doesn’t like my soil mix I use perlite orchid bark and regular potting mix

I have one but it's growing so slow :(. I thought maybe the pot was too big because the soil stays wet for super long, so I wanted to repot into a smaller pot but then I saw the roots and there were SO LONG and many!! I don't know if I could put it into a smaller pot....but I see yours is so bushy for the size pot, how full is it with roots..

Hi! I have a question regarding my Brazil plant. The leaves are turning yellow (the green is fading away) and I'm wondering why. Am I watering it too much or not watering it enough? It is placed in a location that is pretty light, but not direct sunlight. Do you know what I might be doing wrong?

[Sheffield made plants] on youtube explains what causes the yellow to either disappear or the leaf to turn all yellow, and it does involve with placement and lighting! I just bought one and praying the yellow doesn’t disappear

I THINK I have a rio, it could be a silverstripe/creamsplash I have the hardest time trying to figure out if it's a rio or a silverstripe. Is there anymore differences between them besides longer tips? cuz mine has the long tips another youtuber said rio has silver in the middle then the cream and then dark green. My plant has white in the middle then like a yellowy/cream colour then dark green. IDK for sure but ik it's not a philodendron brasil.

Lord have mercy this is the side if plants that gets me confused just like the pothos n joy and others that look similar. I'm sorry im no help on that since I dont have one or never seen one in person. All I know is that they are beautiful.

Oh nice! Yeah they could be pricy at times. If it was from Costa Farms I am guessing it was for 17.89 for a hanging basket. Could be wrong but even then you could always propagate and sell those cuttings and make her pay you back ahah. Even then they also sell them in 3.5 in pots in the big box stores. I believe I saw one for 3.89 at lowes. Keep an eye out planty friend.

You can change the playback speed in KZread when your watching. 😉 Might help. I actually speed up most videos so I can watch more in less time.

It’s kind of hard to understand because you are speaking too fast. Please slow down and punctuate you words.
