Warm soap and running water works for cleaning , i have the 7100 and i use it for shaving my head in the shower

I would use the same solutions pods and will refill it with, small portion of baking soda, white vinager and water 🙂

I have the 6k series. And just ordered the 7700. The 6k i do not like disconnecting and reconnecting the trimmer. It just takes afew extra seconds but it’s time I don’t wanna deal with. Im interested in how this works for my personal experience. I do like the wireless charging but do hope to get a better shave. I’ve owned the 6800 model since 2017 and it hasn’t failed me just seemed like this 7700 would be a good upgrade and I didn’t want to pay for the 9k series so yeah. Thank you for this review. So I do have a good idea on what I’m getting. The fast charging seems really awesome to me.

I got 7500 phillips norelco I got for Christmas after I just bought 9400 7500 is a decent shaver but my 9400 definitely wins but my 7500 I agree with you

Is this good on sensitive skin? I recently got the Panasonic Arc 5, but it cut my neck up pretty bad. If this has similar results, I am going to stick with my Gillete Skinguard.

I must disagree with your conclusion. I have been using the 7100 for the past two weeks in competition with the ARC5 Panasonic. So far the 7100 has a clear advantage. It has given me a razor close shave while dry every time even with 3 days of growth. The ARC5 is a good razor but it doesn't get quite as close as the 7100 does. Its fast too. I'm done shaving in under 4 minutes! So I give it an A+ rating so far. Will keep you posted if something bad happens to change my opinion.

totally fair point and I am glad you like it. I dont hate mine, I just dont get any closer of a shave then my old razor.

Another con is the cleaning station doesn’t charge the shaver

Boy, having an app just to shave seems like the stupidest thing. I'm guessing using rubbing alcohol to clean it will work. This cleaning solution seems like a rip off like ink jet cartridges. You spend more on the cost of the consumables. Thanks for this review. will now get the 7100.

Thanks for review, but people should know to fully charge all lithium ion batteries to full, before first use or may damage battery life. Wish the clean pod charged like the Brauns, and the pods for them are way more expensive for the Braun.

From the UK the name Norelco is not used here is sells as "7000 Series" which is exactly the same as the US model. My previous shaver was a 5000 but it died the other day. Loved your POS and CONS. The cleaning solution is definitely a con. you did not mention the App. Why would anyone want to shave with an app.? Thank you have cut short my setup. a big thank you.

I read some reviews that said that this razor doesn’t do well on longer, flatter lying hairs. Have you had any issues with that?

Want to ask is the old razor fit the cleaning base or the charging station? Because older model doesn't get charging stand or cleaning pod

Great question and to my surprise, my old razor did indeed work on the charging base, however regarding the cleaning pod, it did fit and work, however it does not have a cleaning mode so it wont auto shut off. You have to manually turn this off at some point. Thanks for the question 🙂

You compare the old 5000 with the new 7000. the new 5000 doesn’t come with the cleaning station but is fully compatible with it and looks the same. I bought the new 5000 and the cleaning station extra.

Great question, so this all depends on how often you clean the shaver. I shave every morn and clean the shaver after each use. The solution only lasted about month

Mine out of the box does not work at all. Will not turn on. Will not charge. Don’t know what to do. Was a gift so.

Amazon delivers it in a plastic bag. Box inside bag can and usually will get damaged. So ironic Amazons non delicate items come protected in a box, in a box.

It looks like Philips still uses the same stiff wire chargers as their other shavers. I find this wire hard to manage and store. Plus, the shaver doesn’t sit flat on counter tops so the wire pulls it in a different place than where you place it. I think this is a very poor design. The old Norelco shavers had better, more flexible cords. I wish Philips would use different chargers.

Do you have to oil this razor?

Clean once a week and first remove the clippings and rinse under water then clean it in the solution

What a piece of crap that cleaning system is! This is one of the reasons I stick to Braun. Braun's system cleans and charges on the base. The Braun cleaning solution is a lot easier to open and install. Plus the Braun foil system shaves way better than the Norelco. Thank you for the review, you confirmed for me that I don't want a Norelco shaver.

I just bought one and it won't do anything.No power or anything.Guess I got to take it back
