    That is exactly the attitude going on. Very different from Japan where it's considered rude to speak to strangers in public. In the phillipines its alot like the us, talk to anyone n everyone anytime you like. Its kinda more of a respect thing, as well, acknowledging someones presence, something also that came from Spanish culture, acknowledging someone when they walk into a room or come in front of you, not being rude by ignoring them.

    Great video! Honest, spontaneous, and down-to-earth. I'm glad you seem to be having a great time in the Philippines. It's quite easy to understand and appreciate the delicious diversity of Philippine cuisine. This archipelago nation is composed of 7,641 islands each with a unique geography, topography, and cultural diversity. Technically, it will take you around 21 years to visit each island if you were to spend a day in each of them. The country is divided into 3 geographical regions: Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao among which the 81 provinces are spread and where as many as 187 languages are spoken depending on which classification system one uses. Tagalog, also known as Filipino the national language, is widely spoken by almost everyone so you're better off learning it as opposed to other dialects or languages. As you may have seen by now, the Philippines is a geographically breathtaking country. But I'm guessing that the one treasure you will have found heartwarming and wonderfully unique is its warm, friendly, and family-centered people.

    Yes, visit pagudpud beach cove, most northern point of the phillipines, opposite key west Florida which is the southernmost... if u plan ahead, flying up there isn't too expensive. Youll need a tourguide or someone to rent for a week to drive you around up through the different provinces up there. Marcos body in embalment is on display at the marcos museum, if you care for history. Also visit the old fort Bonifacio tour, in manila. See where jose rizal wrote letters from his prison cell. And later on in ww2 how it was used in the atrocities of war. Go by tagaytay highlands peoples park in the sky for killer mountain top volcano views of the taal volcano.... or visit baguio city and enjoy the cooler weather up there...

    Great vid and good choice with the sisig! Also, fun fact since you seem really interested with our language hehe... "Filipino" (along with English) is the official language in the Philippines and was standardized and derived from other dialects primarily the Tagalog dialect. Languages are used broadly while dialects are more particular to a certain (ethnic) group and often regional in use. We have hundreds of dialects here in the Philippines, and Tagalog and Hiligaynon are just few examples of them. :)) I hope you enjoy your stay in the Philippines!

    ADMIN Jonathan! I subscribed to your channel because of this video . I am a Filipina living in North Carolina . I’m also from Cebu City , Philippines 🇵🇭…. Watching this video made me miss those foods and it’s fun to eat with a friend or friends …. The “ Camote Que “ they are talking about it is called here “ sweet potatoe” fried in a caramelize sugar . Tempura is just like fish ball but oval shape instead of ball shape the sauce is what’s make it more delicious 😋… The Park across the Night Market where you eat your meals it is called “ Fuente Osmena Park” ( if I’m not wrong ) I heard a lot has changed in the City … I have not visited Philippines in 9 years . So miss my country a lot like the beach , sea foods and fruits ….. “Balik-Balik” ( in Cebu ) mean Come back again … Tagalog and English are the most common languages Filipinos speaks but they have 100 dialects … Like Cebu - speaks Cebuano or Visaya. We have Cities down in Mindanao and Luzon area that speaks Spanish because of Ferdinand Magellan a Portuguese Explorer who influenced the Spanish language, that’s why our words are mix of Spanish . Like number counts and furnitures . Thank you for sharing your experience in The Philippines 🇵🇭 … Always take extra care .

    Camotecue/kamotecue (the first thing you ate in this video) is a combination of words: camote/kamote (sweet potato) and cue - think barbecue, only that it's not meat and instead of savory, it's sweet because of the caramelized sugar. Other popular (and similar) street food is bananacue. Sisig is very popular and often paired with beer - it's traditionally fried parts of the pig's face served in a sizzling plate, but from what I heard in your video the stall offered seafood sisig too.

    There are so many languages in the Philippines. So if you want to learn one, it should be Tagalog since Tagalog is understood all over the country from Luzon to Mindanao. That's indeed a very nice night market in Cebu. I have also seen a night market in Davao City. When you visit Davao someday, don't forget to visit their night market too.

  • @wavemaker2077

    @wavemaker2077

    @@sugbosugbo1987 Are you aware that Cebu is in the middle of the Philippines? It's not possible to discover Cebu first since Leyte and Bohol will be discovered first if the foreigners are coming from the east and then Panay and Negros will be discovered first if coming from the west. Besides, why do you care about the foreigners discovering Cebu first? Is that something to be proud of? No language will be wiped out as long as there are locals speaking the language. Just stop already with all your nonsense. If Cebu was chosen as the capital of the country, then Cebuano might have been the official language of the country. But Manila was chosen and they speak Tagalog in Manila. So Tagalog became the official language of the country.

    @@TravelForFoods we dont, we just welcome foreigners who just keep coming and coming because they keep hearing about how good it is or how well its recommended.. who are we to tell them no? Lol of course were going to welcome them! Welcome all foreigners to try! Just dont misbehave. Because then, youll end up on local tv crime show, where the nights story will be about showcasing you. Be cool have fun but dont go starting shit. It is you who is critical of such validation. But its given without request, so whats youre issue with it? Or maybe you are lacking validation that you seek and just jealous? Explain... And its Filipinos making filipino food not pelepeno. Get your spelling right

    You should go to Avenire Condos. There is a bar and grill at the roof top with a view of the city. I highly recommend it!

    Philippines is divided into 3 big island. Luzon is tagalog region, Visayas is Bisayan region and Mindanao is southern Bisayas where our Muslim brothers can be seen. But we have 7,600 plus islands and Islets.
