I first heard this piece this morning on BBC Radio 3. It is so impressive that I just had to find a recording of it, and you saved the day. Thank you!

I recall Glass mentioned the inspiration for this, or the guiding principle, was to write something his dad would have liked hearing, which probably explains the accessibility.

Amazing work by Philip Glass!

I love Glass, and I love this piece. I heard it with the New York City Ballet, in Circle of Fifths about fifteen years ago. Not part of their repertoire, so I don't know if I'll ever se it again, but it was magnificent. Listening along with the sheet music was revelatory for me. Thanks you for posting it.
