My friend and I played the original baseball all stars on Nintendo and it didn't have names but you could name them yourself. I can name the entire lineup from memory. From Andre Dawson to Ryno, Shawon Dunston and the Shawn o meter, Luis Salazar on third, Mark Grace on 1st Mitch fucking Williams lol.... The 1989 Cubs were a fun team of over achieving underdogs. Very fun year - Mark Grace, Dunston, Sandberg, Dawson, etc Dawson was great but he was so bad in the 89 playoff and left so many runners on in those close games that it was sad to see and many Cub fans were down on him - but Hawk was the real deal - all natural stud.

Steve Stone. Did color with Hawk for a while.
Why are the Cubs so much more popular in Chicago than the White Sox? Is it because of their iconic stadium, while the Sox play in a dump of a ballpark?
I was kicking myself for years because I got a chance to meet Andre Dawson in '95 when I was 11 but I was mad because I wanted to meet Griffey Jr., who Dawson replaced at the last minute because Griffey got injured, so I just walked away from him.
True Value had to declare for bankruptcy after Andre Dawson hit 3 home runs that day! ❤️💙😂
