Phil Mitchell absolutely iconic

Amazing how Phil went from the nicer Mitchell brother to the King of Albert Square. It was for many reasons as well, he eventually had this "No more Mr Nice Guy" upon Grant's exit when he destroyed Phil's life regarding Kathy and Ben. Only so much crap you can take. In 2001 Sharon said to Phil "You are a lot harder than you used to be".

Unrealistic is what it is. He beat up multiple guys half his age last night with ease, even in his younger days they wouldn't have made it look that easy. He's 60 now, when exactly are they gonna make Phil show his age? Since 2005 they've had instances where they have shown his age catching up with him but then they'll just abandon that in other instances. For the last couple of years or so though they've made Phil look more invincible than ever. As much as my love for EE was started by the great characters that were the Mitchells, enough is enough. It's farcical, inconsistent & nonsensical at this point. The show needs to be brave enough to hand over the mantle. They don't need to get rid of Phil & he can still allow him to act like he's lord of the manner because that's part of the character he's always been, but this having him beat up anyone & everyone with ease as well as showing everyone cowering to him like he's some sort of Walford answer to Al Capone is stupid at this point.

I agree. Though I think they're running out of storylines for him, and to be truthful, the programme itself. He's been in since 1990, so 30 years of it. His best years with Grant, and the who shot Phil storyline.
