DELORIS JORDAN was the game changer for how athletes are signing contracts to include a precentage of company profits. DELORIS JORDAN demanded that for her son that's why MJ is a billionaire today!! Give that woman her flowers.

He changed how the game was marketed he brought the game onto a huge stage by signing Jordan for one, And many more after him Lebron James just to name another this guy and his staff have made some iconic shoes. Basically what i'm saying he deserves the hall of fame because he made the game much more popular. I'm willing to bet money you have at least one pair of Nike shorts or a pair of Jordan shoes in your house right now. And if it wasn't for Phil knight the Jordan shoe brand wouldn't be as

He didn't make the game any more popular than Gatorade or Snickers has. His shoes were only successful because #23 chose to wear them, probably because Nike offered more money than Converse or anyone else did. He's a businessman, not a legend of the game. This was a very corporate move and it waters down the whole thing.

@@kevinsullwold2388 Read Shoe Dog. Every single person I know who has criticised Nike has been shut up by that book. Phil Knight is a pioneer, and there’s a reason the entire sporting industry looks up to him.

popular as it is now plus the NBA wouldn't be as popular without him places like China, Africa, and just recently the NBA is becoming very popular in India. They all wear the Mamba nike shoes or Lebron new shoes or Jordan shoes or Nikes most famous slogan JUST DO IT on thier shirt. Yup I think Phil Knight has alot more to do with the NBA than you think.
