    Runs like God? No. Most of these hands are marginal, no super coolers. Plays like God? Yes. Ive seen the whole thing and he makes fools outta this table the entire time. Ivey.. greatest all around player in history.

  • @a.mathewc9076

    @a.mathewc9076

    6 жыл бұрын

    usernamesrlamo I think the point was that, yes, Phil Ivey didn't win "supercoolers" but he did get to take advantage of running good to have a strong enough hand to slow play and value bet vs his opponents having medium/weak enough hands to only call his value bets on the river. For example, the 6 4 vs 9 8 hand Ivey made the nut straight on the turn and was able to value bet it against a rivered 9 for 2nd pair, from an opponent who was bluffing the flop. The K 10 vs K 4 hand Ivey slow played top two pair and his opponent slow played top pair (probably because of the flush draw) and the turn and river bricks, allowing Ivey to bet his strong hand on the river and get called by a weaker, yet strong enough to call, hand. In the A 4 vs 10 X hand, Ivey hits top pair against a gutshot straight and Ace draw, but with the turn and river bricking for his opponent he value bet his top pair. However in this hand, his opponent bluffs reraises the river and Ivey is able to make the somewhat hard call. Every draw bricked which made his opponent bluffing be unlikely, but in this instance he was lucky to flop top pair against Ace high and a draw, and have his hand hold up which let the call on the river be a good one. If some of those hands were reversed Ivey might treat it differently or the same as his opponents. However, in this case he was able to take advantages of these marginal yet strong positions and get maximum value from his opponents. Figuring out what his opponents are up to but also being able to to take advantage of flopping strong hands and have them hold on the river (running good) against his opponents' weaker-but-also-strong hands, which is what makes Ivey one of the best.

    Same reason you don’t see them play in the nba when watching basketball videos. It’s the opinion section , to make comments and socialize on the content of the video. Don’t be a patronizing character. U also look like u have no teeth and disallowed 500 feet from ur local playgrounds.
