But by doing that he actually gives people way too much implied odds against his 'premium' hands. Then he cries about being out drawn for half an hour. @@Janppa ahh. I misread his hand! For some reason I was seeing 7, 8. So i thought he got a pair on the turn which made him go all-in.

No one going to comment how bottom pair on AQ6 called that raise? Of course Hellmuth likes Ninja's play because it is a play Hellmuth himself would use. Pretty standard to trap a splashing player with a monster like AK though; it is only "special" here because the raise to 10k induced an All-in and the AK trap worked like a dream, but overall, the play was pretty routine poker-wise.

AK flatting with that many to a flop is probably only worth it if you dont think you will get called/4bet a lot or you are playing a maniac. Alan should have folded flop raise. The cold call preflop from ninja and the aggression and confidence on a board that probably nails his range. Im thinking AQ, AJ, KQ, KJ, QJ, QQ, JJ. And at that SPR I dont think you are getting to fold often.

No the best way to really mess with someone is to throw off your playing style and change it up repeatedly For example I may start by raising every time I hit a good hand but in the same breath I will turn around and maybe call the bb with a great hand and check it down to the river, once it hits the river I will raise big Or I may bet the bb all the way to the river then raise big to make them think I'm either bluffing or just hit on the river
