    Great tips. In addition to what you have said, I am also trying to flip it, and remember to OTB automatically incorporate *"negative"* check-steps for tight decisions through consideration of my opponent's wishes: What is my opponent's gameplan? What move are they secretly preferring I will make? And finally, what is the best (worst) way to go from doggone favourite, to losing this game? I then try to incorporate these weights into my final evaluation. Hope this makes sense :)

    how come it isnt cube before rolling the dbl 2? is it because reds down in the race?

    Bearing in against a high or mid anchor, you usually only start considering a cube once you've cleared your back checkers as far as the midpoint. Too hard to bring home the 18 point, and you don't necessarily lose your market when you do.
