It's the cleanest, best pleasure.
One of a kind. His voice is out of this world. I grew up listening to Genesis and him.

Fascinating band, they built on the Who's concept albums and Arthur Brown's theatrical shows.
Love it when a singer sounds exactly like on the albums they sing. No post production wizardry needed for Phil’s voice!

There was definitely a lot of reverb in this.
Does anyone else remember how great this song was on Miami Vice? It so captured the mood. Phil is amazing!
Phil = Legend ❤️ Here are the missing drums for those of us preparing to “air-drum”😉 🥁 🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁

Yesssss 🙌😎 ...has to be one of the most (if not *THE* most) iconic drum fills of all time.
What a great voice
I want a movie about Phil Collins.
No autotune here! 👏🏻
Phil is the greatest voice ever. Clean and crisp. I love this man!
His voice live is exactly the same on the record. Wow.. and he does it effortlessly.🌞
My favorite is still when it was played during an episode of Miami Vice

2021 and Phil’s music still resonates!
Phil Collins= "Legend"...What more needs to be said! *******!
This is one man who doesn't get his just due. Phil made so many great catchy hits. Think about the heavyweights Phil was up against. Michael Jackson, Madonna, Prince, Lionel Richie, Whitney Houston, The Police, Hall and Oates, U2 and countless others
Dear today's generation this is music

It’s very sad, you just don’t get hits like this anymore. I hope the rap phase blows over soon. I don’t hate it, but it’s just doesn’t have the soul this does.
It’s going to take about three weeks at this tempo 😂

That was sitting down , no auto_tune ... Something about that song, just don't know👏🏻
Love Philly and Genesis! His stuff always sounds great and his voice is so distinct. Yeah babyyy!
Seriosuly amazing
I'm 31 and my generation made fun of me for loving this guy since middle school. No regrets. Odd thing, I found out about Phil Collins from a 2pac remix and Bone Thugs N Harmony sampled Take Me Home. Glad I saw him live a few years ago.
Well that was fantastic.
The best performance in your show! Very emotional! Fantastic! Thanks ✌️
I love you Phil Collins and this song on the air
Pitch perfect; immaculate timing and rhythm. (but his drumming is even better)
He is the best.
Wow 😍😍😍😍
Love it amazing musician
Awesome! Always love the show thank you
And go! Haha. Yes, Howard. Good job Phil. Thrilled to see this. Sounds awesome.
“This one I don’t know what it’s about” I thought it was About that guy, who coulda saved that other guy from drowning. But didn't then Phil saw it all then at that show he found him.

THANKS 😁 HOWARD. Great LISTENING 👂 TO YOUR SHOW. LUV YOU LONG TIME ⌚ 👍. LUV SPAZ 🤗
Only thing that sucks is I will probably never get to see him live. We are losing all the good ones.
25 years ago...AMAZING!
Dang, that sounded great!
SWEET SWEET MUSIC MAN..L♡VE TO YOU🕺❤Thx Sharing
Great singer. Imagine having Phil Collins and Peter Gabriel in the same band!
Love Phil!!!!
One of the best to ever live... 👍🏻
What a great performance 💨

Just...incredible...
Man, oh man, that voice!
Almost every other aristist as struggled with singing this in the morning. NOt Phil Collins

Who’s ready for Phil to release an acoustic hits album?

Yep, minus the piano. In my opinion it just doesn’t fit the song.
Definitely don’t like the sped up no drums version but his voice still carries it amazingly
I’d love to perform there eventually :)

Howard "that sounded nice" Stern
Would love 2 C - Daryl doing more SOLO work - that is one KICK ASS - Guitar player
2:38
This song sounds familiar.
This would’ve sounded great with only piano, the guitarist was overdoing it but a lot of musicians usually don’t understand what it means when they say less is more
@youngboyharless9769
3 жыл бұрын
I agree. He was a great guitar player but the piano was already filling alot of space. Would've sounded better just hitting the chords with an open string ringing out in between, instead of following the piano player

Still sounded good though.
Surprised Howard didn't ask how long it took to write this song.

I'm a squirrel... hey Sal 👋..
it's a soft version versus what he can do in concert
His voice is amazing. It a beautiful song but without the drums is a bit of anti climax. It's the bit everyone is bracing for...and then nothing 😐
Phil seemed very uncomfortable in this interview
Why is this so rushed?
No drum?
Well, after dealing with the absolute nutcase that is Orianne Cevey Collins Mejjati Bates (yes that is her name), we should all be expecting his next album to go triple platinum.

Too bad Howard was still in his obnoxious, rude and moronic mode in 1996. If this was recorded today, he would have given Phil a much more insightful interview.
