Motörhead's "Ace of Spades" is one of rock and roll’s most beloved and sacred anthems. Covering the bombastic ode to gamblers everywhere is a heavy crown to bear for any musician up for the task. With honoring Lemmy’s legacy always being at the forefront of Psycho Waxx’s mind, they hereby present you with the opening track off Löve Me Förever: A Tribute to Motörhead, the one and only "Ace of Spades" as performed by Phil Anselmo, Gary Holt, Nick Oliveri, Dwid Hellion, Chuck Garric, Sacha Dunable, Kelley Juett, Kyle Juett, Tom Polzine and Zach Wheeler.
Every rock and roll all-star featured on the song contributes a different offering in worship of Lemmy. Phil Anselmo’s jagged molasses vocals bounce off Dwid Hellion’s demon howls while Gary Holt’s signature shredding gives the track an extreme outlaw’s metallic edge. If you hear that desert rock vibe with a hardcore kick in it, you got Nick Oliveri to thank for that. Kelley and Kyle Juett from Mothership contribute the space rock rhythms that blast this message off through the atmosphere to deliver it straight to Lemmy. Yup since he got sober in 2017 he's been better than ever. Literally he hasnt sounded so good since the 90s. Saw him live and was amazing

Because the idea of the project was to gather other vocalists with Phil. It got really cool in my humble opinion. And yes, Phil sounds amazing. I hope he performs this track on his next tour or record a whole tribute to Lemmy/Motörhead. That would be great

Phil Anselmo is THE metal vocalist. Man can do it all - high notes, screams, beautiful singing, growls, extreme belting and yelling, etc. What a singer man!
When I saw Ace of Spades covered again I have to admit I rolled my eyes a little. After watching this I'm sold though. They really did the song justice. I believe Lemmy would approve.

I’ve always been a moderate pantera fan. In 2018 I knew nothing about the members. When I heard Phil and the Illegals play/somewhat cover cemetery gates at the louder than life fest, I was super impressed with the vocal quality. Phil has an amazing range of tones.

Its almost like people forget that this was the lead singer of pantera or something. His ability has never been the problem. Im glad he’s healthy an dim super stoked to see this pantera reunion. If he gets himself in shape and practices it could be amazing.

No, his voice box is blown. But even with his new voice, he gave us “Caught Up in Gears of Application” and I though he sounded amazing. Unfortunately age and singing over a hundred thousand times will make your voice go. I still love him.

@@1Deep43VA Agreed. It seems like in 2016 he lost his higher range, like on caught up in the gears of application. I wacthed an interview with loudwire where he said that they had already done the album before 2016, so 2015 and 2016 must have been the last years where he had that higher range he had before. There was also a change around 2012, when he sung live it was not the best compared to a couple of years prior but right now it sounds like he has gotten his screams back while touring with the pantera celebration. I hope he records something with his current voice.
