Getting skeletons and ghosts from a vanquished foe is such a good deal
Ross: declares his army the most un-stoppable army he's ever had. Five minutes later: Ross gets curb stomped by the first enemy hero he meets. Heh. Life comes at you fast. And it probably didn't help that said enemy had about 10 attack and defense points over you...

It's neat how the Attack and defense skills are super powerful in HoMM2. 10 points difference essentially doubles effective damage or damage mitigation. If you're 10 behind in both stats, your units on average are only gonna be about 1/4 as effective as the opponent's (i.e. they will deal half damage, and take double damage from a monster that would have normally had the same attack and defense skills as themself, example the ghost v ghost matchup). It's janky at times but it's one of the things I really love about the game since it lets you get really powerful and take battles easily that you'd never expect to win normally. Ross played the battle really well considering how overpowered his opponent's hero was.
4 trading posts right in front of your castle? That's a little bazaar :)

Castle Warszawa So in eng its Warsaw Someone from Poland made this map haha starting to watch now!
I think the only way you could have beaten Atlas before harvesting more ghosts was to attack his ghosts with your phoenixes first to make his ghosts retaliate and incorporate only nine souls, then attack his ghosts with your hasted stack of ghosts to avoid retaliation and get a much bigger number in your stack. He had so much better attack and defense stats, so beating his stack with a similar number would be impossible.

Yup, I agree 100%. I think Granfalegion in Twitch chat said the same exact thing.
Why i don’t have shrine buiding in my game

Ghost makes HOMM2 a totaly different game. The rest of creature are almost irelevant.

It depends. What you need to have is either a) superior spellcasting, which can make you control the events on the battlefield, or b) a good number of titans and/or black dragons, which can take out heaps of ghosts before they get their turn, and once they do, they have to deal with 300 HP and superior attack/defense stats. The best would of course be option c) to have all of this, including ghosts :p
Kolejas is such a bad hero, mostly knowledge upgrade points.
