Actually form can be infact too, if they remove screw system and put a button or something, and also rear tow hook can be hidden in fake exhaust etc, there are ways, just need intention.

Ohhh bhai ye toh shocking hai.... 90% gadiya aage hi phasti hai and piche se tow krni padti hai. Bhai safari kya soch ke banayi hai 🤦‍♂️

Yup, the front hook is a design flaw I observed in my Harrier as well :( Form over functionality exists at some places

Good point..not even had thought of this ..

I think its some new law ... Most of the cars now dont offer tow hook in back.. like xuv300, Kushaq

Rear ki shocker spring k hole me you can put rope. And tow. I am Having harrier.. same problem

My Harrier xza+ AT dark edition get stuck yesterday from front & get surprise no hook at rear🙄.

Such a major drawback jo karan gadi nahi lene ka karan ban sakta hai. Thanks for such a big information.

I faced the same problem when my Harrier got stuck while on Journey, it is very disappointing so I sold the car eventually. Truth is and believe me Tata Harrier and Safari are not built for off-road, they’re powerful but not suitable for off road

For Hexa, it is there at back side.

Yeah, it shows if Tata wants, it can give these features. Hexa has been the most perfect SUV in all aspects. Unfortunately, surprisingly they discontinued it.

@@TheSafariTraveller I'm thinking of buying dark edition safari I'm from Arunachal Pradesh where off-road is our normal road like leh Ladakh condition sometimes worst. Due you recommend this suv for such situations 🙏🏼 or should I wait for next generation scorpio?

I would recommend 4x4 car for you. But if you plan to buy 4x2 Tata Safari is a solid option, it's traction control is unmatched among 4x2 other cars, especially with my all terrain tyres.

I towed my safari from back as it was stuck on beach once. To my surprise there was no tow hook, so I had to tow from the metal rod near the axle.

What an irony, safari naam hai but tow hook nai hai,batao aage hai bhi to mud mein fasegi to screw to kho jayenge na.

If they give a tow hook at the rear, there are two possible scenarios: 1) the driver can attach another vehicle or some kind of bogey at the rear to pull it. The Safari and Harrier are not built for that. The frame is for comfort and handling and will get damaged if an external load pulls it from the rear. 2) in case the vehicle breaks down and there is a crane/towing vehicle to pull it, the Front Wheels which are connected to the transmission and ultimately engine will be on the ground and the rear wheels hanging from the towing vehicle and hook. Here again, the transmission will get permanently damaged. It is a sensible preventive measure to not have a rear tow hook on this car. Owners need to be realistic. Most cars nowadays look like SUVs but there are few real SUVs like the Fortuner, Isuzu D-max, Thar etc.

I was stuck from front in mud in incline, had to pull from rear, what was I supposed to do? Surrender the car in the terrain? Right from Creta to XUV all have rear tow hook. Let's be realistic and not justify laziness or marketing decisions (priority to looks over utility) of OEMs

Meri dusri car kharab pad gayi mere paas tata punch hai but Mai punch se hook karke use la nahi sakta

Good but most of car won't come with rear tow Hook.

Safari ko peeche se tow nahi kr sakte aur sath he me safari se bhi kisi doosri car ko tow nahi kr sakte

Safari se Creta pe mat jao dost. Chahiye tho XUV option hai...or wait for Scorpio. But personally, will still recommend Safari, see if it's a dealbreaker for you.

This is not an off-roader… I ordered this being fully aware

Yes, breakdown or accident can happen to any car not just off roader. Btw..it's stilll a great car.
