Respected sir, In the past two years, the Assam Pharmacy Council has denied registration to pharmacy students. Initially, they cited a lack of registered authority within the council as the reason for the delay. However, after a registrar was appointed, the Srimanta Shankardeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS) mandated an exit exam for students not affiliated with SSUHS to obtain registration. Subsequently, students sought intervention from the honorable High Court, which ruled against SSUHS's authority to conduct such exams. Additionally, the Pharmacy Council of India affirmed that SSUHS lacks jurisdiction for these exams. Despite these developments, the Registrar of the Assam Pharmacy Council has declined to grant registration until receiving notice PERSONALLY from PCI or the Assam government. Many Students contacted Register of Assam Pharmacy Council,he misbehaved with the student and said that he will not grant registration until the govt. of assam or PCI send him the notice personally This ongoing situation has caused significant distress, harrasment and inconvenience to pharmacy students. Your prompt attention to this matter is requested.
