A few days ago the Phantom Menace celebrated its 25 year anniversary from when it was very first released into the cinemas. As well as the potential the Acolyte has to add depth to the background of the Sith, and the revenge Maul was referring to in that quote above, hopefully without retconning any of the pre-existing canon.
