Definitely one of the best and most detailed P4P videos out there. I would only suggest using a lav mic when you're in front of the camera since the sound of the room mic is sort of harsh.

Hello, During your review of the P4-Pro I noted that a couple of the landing skid snap on covers were either loose or missing. I have problems with the covers on my P4-Pro coming loose and falling off. Sad to need adhesive tape to hold parts on my new quad. Any comments? Great presentation on your part! Looking forward to more of your videos!!

I'm thinking about purchasing one of these because of the 20mp camera. I need a camera good enough to get good detailed control points for measuring distances on a road (photogrammetry). How do you think the camera would hold up for something like this? Also do you think the 5.5 inch display is worth the 300 extra dollars? Can the a regular ipad get 1080p quality too? Awaiting response,Nate

Mechanical shutter is a big deal for your kind of activity (see more in tomorrows video) 3. The sreen is blinding bright and there is no mess with USB cables and device compatability. Worth it! 4. Yes, 1080 can be broadcasted on a normal ipad or phone. Thanks!

NDs in photography are used to allow you to shoot in more open apertures to allow for different depth of field focus...yes, on previous drones NDs were necesary to stop down since the aperture wasnt adjustable, that was a cheat of sorts, not why we use NDs. just because we can stop down now it doesn't mean NDs are no longer necessary. NDs are now to be used new they are traditionally used, to allow larger apertures when the Fstop is too high by blocking the amount of light coming in and allowing you to open the aperture and giving you some depth of field on your image.. if shooting subject close enough to matter, this doesnt apply to landscape photography much of course

Let's solve it together. 1. Do you travel at all? 2. Do you travel by car or you prefer other countries and far destinations, that you have to take flight to. 3. Do you use premirer, final cut, photoshop and lightroom to process your photos and videos? Are you on a tight budget or it's just a matter of choice? Answer these questions and the decision will be clear.

A 24mm lens on a 1"sensor is not equivalent to a 35mm lens on a full frame. It in on an APS-C sensor, which is much larger. The crop factor here is 1.5. A one inch sensor has a 2.7 crop factor. So. a 24 mm lens is equivalent to a 64.8mm lens on a full frame sensor. Also, a 3.5 F-stop would have to be multiplied by 2.7 to get the full frame f-stop equivalent.

  • @SueTownream

Only problem, this drone has a real focal length of 8.8 mm, which is of course equal to 24mm on a full frame. The marking on the lens is misleading.

Lol your comment about a step closer to not using ND filters is false. Professional DSLR cameras have aperture settings and still use ND filters. It would actually benefit to use ND filters with the aperture settings. Not sure how legit the the Phantom 4 pro camera is, I just ordered one and I have the Phantom 3 pro already. With ND filter you can still get the shallow depth of field by lowering the aperture. Raising the aperture to f/11 will make everything in the camera sight in focus which will lose the cinematic look. But, once again I don't think that's the case with the phantom 4 pro camera because it has no focus ring or focus adjustment like the x5r and x5s has on the inspire series
