This is so awesome I couldn't help but laugh when it first started. I'm imagining a 80s music video with Alis with the big poofy 80s hair slowly stalking around corners of a poorly lit dungeon and then emerging in the desert only to have to fight off some Antlion's in slow mo with the help of her friends.

@@Aeroprism I'm glad you say that 😃 You see I missed the whole SEGA 8bit era. My first introduction to SEGA was with Mega Drive. That beeing said, I do enjoy discovering these old games that I missed out on back in the day. You should check out my other Phantasy Star remix too. It's the Medusa Tower track 😉

This is so freaking awesome! Hearing this makes me want to go and play the original Phantasy Star.

Beautiful. At least we get some of those catchy tracks from indie devs here and there. Back in the days more work was put into the pureness of melody. No fancy orchestra, just tunes and soul. Also love the visual arrangement of your videos. Good choices all the way.

Thank you. Yeah I'm really pleased with how this turned out. I agree. Sure I can appreciate modern soundtracks too, but there is totally something pure and right to the piont with classic VGM. I guess that's why we love it 😅 I also adore the old chip synth sounds of the 80s/90s soo much.

Subscribed. Love good remixes to old games. Too many times people just but some crap syth instruments and a techno/trance backbeat and call it a remix. It is refreshing when people keep the spirit of the original tune and find unique voices to augment the tracks. SMS seems like it would be so hard to re-imagine because all the voices were just tinny whistles and chirps. Great, GREAT re-imagining.

An excellent reimagination of a beautiful piece. PStar2's soundtrack was far more legendary and incredibly moving, but it all had to begin somewhere! 🐲✨🐲✨🐲✨

I fucking love Phantasy Star; I can totally see an alternate timeline where an 80's as fuck 80's cartoon about the game would air on TV with music like this!

This is great! The original FM version was one of my favourites from the soundtrack. I can't decide which I like more, this or the original. Great game by the way.

The late 80's to mid-90's was the golden era for the RPG genre! my fav RPGs are Ys and Phantasy star (both made in the same year). And yeah claps is a must have, without them the music would be empty. +1 sub!

I can enjoy more modern games (even tho I tend to avoid AAA lately because of some shady way to give more money to the company) I would like to enjoy modern JRPG but I kinda have struggles to appreciate if it's too "anime" (Well reusing cliches itself isn't a problem but it's the way to do it)

ikagura I hear ya. For me it's also a question of time. Modern games tend to demand that you invest tons of time for that imersion. Working and having a family leaves little time to invest in lengthy games 🤔

No plans for other tracks at the moment. I have however done an arrangement on another PS track.

I’m just wondering if the main melody is a guitar or synth,starting at 0:19 to 0:38 (it also plays throughout the whole song). This remix is pretty fricking amazing and I’m just stunned whenever I hear it, so I wanted to know what it was
