Handcrafted Pandan Bags: Weaving Dreams and Shaping Lives
It is amazing what our hands can do. It is amazing to blend skills and dreams together to create a work of art. This documentation features Filipino’s journey towards creating world class handcrafted pandan bags.
It all started with pandan as a flavor enhancer and eventually evolve into a fashion trend; the making of bags. Yet, it has not only enhanced the flavor of foods but also the lives of Filipinos. How to make one from scratch requires passion, dedication, skill and focus. This is what Guihulngan National High School-Poblacion wants to offer to our ASEAN friends.
The group looks into where the pandan leaves were harvested, how to process it into a material for weaving and how to weave these into trendy bags. Then, interviewed weavers on the impact of making handcrafted pandan bags to their lives and family. The group also features an interview with folks using these bags and why they prefer using or having one at hand. Pandan transformed into a masterpiece has been part and will always be a part of Filipinos rich and diverse cultural inheritance.

Nice handmade products and biodegradable too. Only if can be marketed properly abroad and promoted by government agency, they can make good fortune from these beautiful handcrafts.

How long is the lifespan of the pandan bags, and how many times can you use it? Is it a throw-away bag one time use? ?????can you use the bag regularly every day? Can it withstand rigorous use? does it fall apart after a few days ??? These are pertinent information. You need to tell people how and why people would want to buy it. Is it for decoration navelty items only for show display on shelves or to be used as functional everyday use to market groceries or such?. Can it last for years???? We don't know but cool looking product.
