Your cousin died the most honorable death any man could ever have. God bless you and your family. I lost my cousin ina car accident as well I know the pain and im still grieving after 2 months. It's hard but cherish the positive that he has done for our country

RIP brother! Might be in the Marines an always talk crap about each other but at the end of the day we are our brother keeper! We are serving our country so others may not. You made a sacrifice by singing those papers and wanted to say thank you for your service and RIP once again. We'll meet soon at the gates of heaven brother!!

Former military here, just wanted to let you know that all soldiers, seamen, airmen, and marines mourn the loss of every military member. May he forever rest in lease, now that his war is over.

Its heart breaking to even see a man in a coffin with a star spangled banner on it. This man was a Ranger, he led the way into the fight. If a Ranger dies, he'll have to lead the rest who have fallen through the gates of heaven.

Beautiful thought. We too honor days ends with the playing of TAPS by a lone bugler. Every day at sundown he plays this simple, dignified tribute to day's end. This is done on every US military installation around the world. Since the American Civil War it has been a standard component of all military funerals to honor life's sunset. This piece of music brings the sternest of souls to tears. No single piece of music so beautifully captures our souls and love of service to country. I can not hear it without almost breaking down. It also has lyrics which are rarely heard. They are moving. You might check this out. There are several excellent KZread videos. Just search TAPS or TAPS WITH LYRICS. The videography is incredible. The timing of the service was spot on. I'm an Army wife, and I'm from a military family. My husband was 101st 2/506, the Band of Brothers. We are all affected by the loss of a soldier, regardless of branch. Prayers for his family and friends.

Every time I see a fellow soldier pass, it breaks my heart. I know it's a part of life, but it still hurts none the less. God bless you Ranger. And thank you for your service.

All gave some, some gave all. Rest easy soldier. Even if we’ve never met, it aches my heart to hear every time to hear that I have lost a brother/sister in arms

Every day I pray for our soldiers. Every time I see a veteran, I thank them. They always say the same thing, " thank you, and I would gladly do it all over again ". I have the utmost respect, and gratitude for our Military men and women. My condolences to his family.

It is because of this Fallen Soldier, and many others who served their Country with the passion and commitment to sacrifice all no matter the cost to ensure these people who give a “thumbs down” are able to do this without fear of repercussion. Those who exemplify this level of commitment to helping others regardless of the cost, have earned our respect. They are in every sense of the word “Hero’s”.

I was on a medevac flight from Iraq to Landstuhl Germany in 2004. 2 Soldiers died on that flight and another Soldier screamed in pain the whole way there. I think of that flight almost everyday.
