남국의 정취가 물씬 풍겨 나오는 야자수와 아름다운 건물들이 줄지어 늘어선 해변을 따라 이어진 주요 도로이다. 번역하자면 영국인의 산책로인데, 1820년 영국인들이 추운 겨울을 피해 따뜻한 이곳에서 시간을 보내기 위해 이곳을 개발하면서 이 이름이 붙여진 곳이다. 화려한 조명이 켜지는 밤이면 짙푸른 바다는 깊은 어둠 속으로 점점 스며 들며 검은 실루엣만을 남기는 모습이 너무나 인상적이다
