A refreshingly open-minded review, with some great tips on how to work best with an EV in your business. Thanks Mark.

I’m 14 years old and my dad let me use his van the same one as this and I have to admit it’s the fastest van I’ve ever drove I

Great review just a real world chat. I’ve got an ev car and in winter you will see a difference but I wouldn’t say it’s as bad as you can read but especially on really cold days it will drop which would be interesting to see how it affects a vans charge then.

How is it 7 months on from making this video? I'm just about to take the plunge on the same van but I need to get 70 miles per day. Charging at home on Octopus Intelligent so hoping to spend 4p per mile????

70 miles a day you will be fine. I get around 140 miles consistently. Sometimes less in the really cold weather. My issue with it is the rapid charging due to more mileage than I had hoped for

You missed the absolute best bit of EV. They're just so much better to drive in local areas, the instant go, no gears and smoothness just take away lots of the fatigue you get with big ICE vehicles. Sure you know what i mean!

Not so much tbh as we have automatic diesels which are the same. Don't notice any difference I'm terms of the drive. Outside the initial pickup in power when in power mode. Otherwise much of a muchness. Its a van/car.

As its a company van how do you claim for the electric used. Does it work the same aa a fuel van

Pretty much. Fuel cards for public chargers, charged up at the unit on company electricity. Home charging more tricky. We use monta on the home charger and just pay with the work fuel card on that. Seems to work fine

when the guys you have working for you take the van home at the end of the day, do they have to pay for the elec to charge it over night. they will never work as a company vehicle

Incorrect they will work fine as company vehicles. Can either use a OCPP charger and pay via normal expenses, charge at work, charge on public infrastructure. Loads of options. Atm we use OCPP wallbox chargers we see exactly what energy has gone into a vehicle same as any fuel expense when charged from home. The company then follows appropriate HMRC guidance in recompensing that cost to the user of the vehicle alongside the direct expense of the energy used. These things are all in place already. The difficulty is for those people who don't have off street parking for charging at home. This will have to be factored in by any employers. Personally we will just use public charging and charging at our workspace. Simples.

I'm looking forward to seeing how it does in winter. Sadly that is sooner than I would like tbh. Summer has gone so quick.

Who mentioned anything about the environment? I use ICE and electric both are not good. Consume less if you care. Watch less yt as data centres also don't help the worlds mineral use

Presumably a battery operated device will be used to watch this video, post the comment and communicate with others, and has been the case for years, no?...hypocrisy at its finest
