it’s 1:38am. im lying in my bed. rain is falling outside. everyone is asleep. i see this song in my recommended and play it. i sit in quiet silence, only the sound of the song playing. the raindrops and the song go good together. i smile at their harmony and sink deeper under the covers. my body is warm. i am calm. i close my eyes as this song gently lulls me to sleep. i haven’t felt this peaceful in a long time.

i discovered this song 4 years ago. I was 13, and was in a bad place, mentally. Every time I think about that period in my life, I also remember the nights I’d lay in my bed for hours, listening to this song. “You” provided me comfort and reassurance; more than I got from anyone else at the time. On the cold mornings, this song give me a reason to get up for school. On dreadful nights, this song gave me a hug, when all I wanted to do was hide from any physical interaction. I’m now 17, a senior in highschool, and listening to this song in the same bed I’d cry for hours in, really gets me choked up. I’m proud of the growth I’ve had. This song will never not be one of my favorites, for many more reasons, beyond what I’ve said. Thank you for this masterpiece :)

Life is full of valleys and mountains. In the highest of peaks I feel unstoppable but in the pit of depression I always come to this song. I listened to this song when I was suffering from postpartum depression. When I was a single mom and a full time student with a newborn and drowning piles of homework. Now, years later, as my career hits a bumpy road I came back to this song. It just hits different, it has a nostalgic vibe but a soothing one as well. It’s like watching the world burn but feeling the warmth. Embracing the chaos. This song makes me embrace it while also being thoughtful and present in a serene way.

When i listen to this song. it makes me want to go to a forest and be seperated from everything else, and everything going on in my life. And think about my childhood trauma. And see how far i have made it.And maybe bring a book and draw things i see near by. And maybe sit on a tree listening to music and sometimes the birds. It also makes me feel extinct like im the only version of myself, and im very different.I feel like im finally at peace. Nothing is going to hurt me, I'm protected and safe. everyone will forget me and i will find my own land. make things no one has ever seen. And at one point. A darkness feeds off of me. I try to stop it but its getting stronger and stronger. Every night i go to the same area to see the moon. On sad nights its a full moon.And maybe make friends with none-human things.

Whenever I hear this song I think about waking up in the morning for school in the winter time. The way I’d start my day was by walking out of my house with a breakfast sandwich and hot cocoa in my hands. It doesn’t snow where I live, but feeling my cheeks feel so warm and rosy against the cool winter breeze just before the sun rises. Sitting on the bus with the Christmas lights hung up and just looking out the window, feeling such peace and wonder, waiting for the sky to change colors☺️

For some reason, when i hear this song flushes of memories like a cuple getting married, playing with their kid and all kinds of family moments get through my head like a movie playing parts of a character's old life after all of that has ended.. idk

I just wish all the physical pain would go away. I just can’t live with it anymore, but I’ll keep saying this to myself until I die. No matter how much medication or doctors I go to it doesn’t do crap. I feel like if I just lived a different life everything would be better. I keep telling others how much they need to keep living, how death isn’t the right answer, but I just wish I could say that to myself. I wish I just had someone to tell me it would be ok, during the toughest of times. Yes, I have my friends, but they aren’t there when I most need them... I just want someone to look me in the eyes and say, “life is all worth living for in the end”. I have so much anxiety about how I’m gonna have a giant flare up which will lead to a panic attack and the worse pain I could ever experience, but it’s not the feeling of knowing it will happen that mostly scares me, it’s the feeling of when it will happen. I know when I say “I feel sick” people usually just shake it off and tell me that they already know, but I just wish there was something they could do about it, and I just wish they knew what it feels like. When I finally got diagnosed with a bowel issue I was so happy, and when the medicine started working I just felt happy, like my sickness was gonna go away, in just a few weeks like what I was told. But little did I know that my sickness wasn’t gonna go, a cup of medicine and pills every night weren’t gonna fix it. People tell me that it will get better, when I’m older. But I wish they would know that I can’t wait that long, I’ve been sick for 14 years and it just keeps getting worse and worse every second of the day, I don’t want to wait another 15 years, I can’t deal with the pain for that much longer. My friends are always telling me that it’s gonna be ok, I can get through this, but those words can’t magically stop my sickness, therefore they do nothing. They don’t even make me feel better because a few inspirational words can’t stop the pain. The fact that I’m just gonna keep writing vents like this and begging for my sickness to away until I die hurts me so much, why hasn’t my sicknesses just disappeared already.

I’m glad I was able to live a life that I can look back on and wish I can go back to it. I hear a lot of people saying they think about the life they never had so I am blessed and happy to have had a young life that taught me a lot.

Download an app called Wattpad it’s got lots of stories on it and a lot of them are written by young kids summer emotional and depressing and some are very happy. There are also some dir- ones but we won’t talk about those😂

And I think about their stories and the mysteries and secrets they keep to themselves, unknowing of how entangled they are in each and everyone's lives. Petit Biscuit's songs each sound like they are telling a story unique to everyone. For me, when I hear this song, my mind creates a story of a mother and daughter getting separated in the midst of a war and spending years trying to find each other until they finally do. They never gave up on one another.

Kathy Rose I always think of people dying but not just like opps they're dead like someone has to shoot the person they're in love with to save them from going insane or being tortured. For example, it reminds me of Lee from The Walking Dead Game's death, or Finn from The 100's death. Clementine had to shoot Lee to save him from becoming a walker, and Clarke had to stab Finn while she kissed him goodbye to save him from being tortured by the grounders and being cut 1,000 times.

Mine is dumb, but I think of a snowy, foggy, cloudy and dark atmosphere, a girl stole a big black horse from horse slaughter and is running away on him. The police are chasing after her for stealing a horse, even if it was going to be killed. When the song speeds up, she is doing dressage, showing how amazing this horse really is.

I just discovered this song, and it amaze me to see how much it hit people in a different way! For me, it made me realize that I fell in love with someone. I loved a boy once, but it was passionnate and hurting. At the end it broke my heart and I needed nearly two years to really smile again. Just after this destructive relationship, I met him. We became very close friends, and now I realize how much I love him, but in a deeper way than the last time. It's like it's an evidence to be with him, talking hours and hours about our projects and future. But I don't know if he feels the same as me... I hope I get enough courage to tell him.

@@annicool4431 thank you ! I told him but his feelings weren't the same... I don't have regrets anyway. Talking about this with him was the only issue we had if we wanted to continue our friendship. We are still friends nowadays and we know each other boundaries now so it's better that way !
