Have them turn her a bit and turn it into a 13 speed the boost sounds about right for being a c12 with a 9 speed it also depends where it set for horsepower. Can't bet a good cat motor. Keep up the great videos

The Cat C-12 is Probably the BEST Small Frame Motors on the Market, I will put it up against a Detroit S60 12.7 any day of the week, and if Setup Right I will put it up against a N14 Black Top Motor. Stevie doesn’t Realize there are A LOT Worse Smaller Motors that he could be Driving.

I learned on a 10speed redtop powered FLD120 with 3,000,000 miles on it. You could put it in gear and move the shifter in an 8in circle there was so much slop. It also had broken 1st and 6th gears.

I own a pete 379 with c12. Your boost gauge is correct. I push around 30psi. Another thing, throw the 500hp tune on it, and that motor will run with your n14. If that’s not enough, throw a Detroit turbo on it for 800 bucks

@@942doc1 Really Really on the Series 60 12.7L Turbo. It’s a Little Bit Bigger Turbo since it is coming off a 12.7L Motor vs the Smaller Turbo that is on this 11.9L C-12 Cat. Pittsburgh Power also sticks Series 60 Turbos on C-12’s that want More Power, and they also can Put a Tune On.

are the 9 speeds syncronized like the 6 speeds or straight gears like the 10 speeds

That company went about 15k before changing oil. I myself wouldnt go that long

@@MrSehka77 we off road the trucks alot and stay right at 80k. Not sure on the miles and I'd say the issues comes with how well your maintenance program is

You said it has no power to it. The reason is becuase you are driving it like a c15. C12 needs more rpms before you shift. You can’t short shift that thing like you do. Keeping the rpms high and grabbing next gear will allow that turbo to spool quicker. Dropping that thing down to 1300, it lags. With some more time behind the wheel you will figure out what it likes. Yes they all push 27 pounds of boost even with wastegate working. I push 27 pounds just as well as others I know

The truck is empty and there wasnt a 1300 rpm drop maybe 3-400

@@stevebillow395 hey bud I didn’t mean 1300 rpm drop. I meant rev the hell out of that thing to where next shift puts your rpm around 1400 rpm. So keep on hammer till 1800 and then shift. It’s all good man hope you have a good week and be safe pal

Wade is running a Cat 3406 which is a 14.6L Motor compared to the Cummins N14 that Stevie normally ran which is a 14L Motor. Both are GREAT Motors, but it is Hard to Beat a Cat 3406A,B,C,E, or C-15 Model Motor. The Cummins N14 Red Top 525 is the BEST N14 Motor, which is a Close 2nd. Of Course the BEST Large Frame Motors are The Cat 3406E 15.8L/Cat C-16 15.8L Motor 1,850LBS Torque, and Cummins Signature 600 14.9L Motor and 2,050LBS Torque.

We had a bunch of problems with the C12. When you have a fleet of 60 of them it keeps you busy.

@@KohlfyreProductions What year we’re they and what we’re the Problems. Most everyone that I know that has them hasn’t had many problems and Love Them. In my Opinion, One of the Best Smaller Frame Motors available for the Time Period.

C12 can produce 27lbs of boost... no problem

Not picking on you. Most drivers reach down to shift. Your the first. One. I have seen to have to reach up to shift. Ajust the seat. Youll be able to see over. Dash. Lol. Takecare.
