Ezra, this is off topic but you should check out Edison Motors in Canada, they are a group of trucking engineers building hybrid power systems for old iron. A small cat generator under the hood, a battery bank, electric motors on the drive axles, regenerative braking, they have a 1962 KW retrofitted. Their goal is old iron with locomotive technology, apparently the motors produce torque at the wheels unlike anything our big diesels can match. They are focusing on the logging industry in British Columbia currently but they are looking to expand into OTR trucks in North America.

If your lines are set up properly, you shouldn't need to have added protection on the truck end of the lines. Just watching you struggle to hook up the airlines to the trailer reminded me of the set that I had. Hope this helps.

You installed the new Airlines backwards. the Spring strain reliefs are supposed to attach the truck side and the red and blue rubber strain reliefs are for the glad-hand sides. The rubber red and blue strain relief act like handles making it easier to rotate the glad hands when connecting to the trailer.

I think Wilson's are a slightly better biult trailer but they are a bit heavier. I bought the temptie mostly because I'm more familiar with temptie and it was a used extremely clean nicely optioned 1 owner used trailer that was well looked after by the last owner. I would probably look very hard at Wilson if I was looking to order a bran new trailer but I wouldn't rule out temptie either both are very good trailers
