359's are THEE flawless tractor. I can't believe I'm seeing an 87 brand new. Even in a video, it still blows my mind. Would love to see it firsthand.
That blows me away! Sitting in a barn for 30 years what a find what a treasure👍👍👍👍

That was an AWESOME video ! A family who dedicate their life preserving Peterbilt 359s ! Beautiful trucks ! As soon as the lady opened the door into the shop my jaw dropped ! That's a workshop you wanna work for ! Hands down , hat off to this wonderful family and truckers all around !!!!
She has a beautiful smile and knows all the history behind the 359’s! Those are my all time favorite ever too I cannot wait to own a bunch of them myself some day.
Im retired now but I remember when they first opened, it was a hell of a conversation on the CB radio back then.
Jewel 💎 of a Chrome Shop. Love the Glider Pete’s. Thanks 🙏🏼 for the tour.

Wow those are some awesome trucks! I’ve never been to this truck shop but I’ve been by it several times...the truck on its nose is an iconic landmark along I-35. These seem like really great people...I’d definitely like to attend the truck show some day. As a former owner/operator it’s really cool to see the pride that people take in there rides.
Every time I've ever needed part's for our 1978 359-s they've got what I need ,the last time I went there it was to get brand new air operated wind shield wiper motors that were identical to what was on there ,when I went to the Peterbilt dealership what they came up with didn't even come close to what we needed ,but the Wilken's were extremely helpful when I walked in the door ,they made sure I had what I came for ,and if you need anything ask for Tanner .
I can't stop lookin' at that 359 , brand new, blown away !! Y'all may be my new chrome shop, definitely gonna give ya shot.

I've been dealing with them for years and I still order stuff from them even though I drive a heavy wrecker now locally.
I love this chrome shop!!! Great people, love to spend $$ here. I always love to see what the new project is in the shop
Damn. I've been driving on I-35 in Oklahoma for two years now. That's my favorite interstate drive and I've never seen the truck on its nose. I'm an idiot or my eyes are glued to the road too long. I'mma have to check them out. Family first business, I like that. Okie's too. (That's a Plus.). Thanks for the upload.

Better yet not a museum it should be in the family I love these folks. It’s inspiring and makes you feel warm seeing stories like this.
I have been by your shop but never had time to stop but I believe you just earned another customer I have owned my 359 since I was 24 years old and recently began my total restoration. You specialize in 359 parts I'm sold on that it's sooo hard finding parts I need!!
Cool shop and parts store! Nice to see a family working together and sharing the passion.
What a beautiful Pete! I love that blue color, too!
Very beautiful trucks having 2 of them wow
Unbelievable , My uncle had a 1977 Pete 359 came with a Detroit 8V92 and a 13spd , This place is awesome 👍

That's what it's about Family. We need to get back to that. Gonna stop there soon
Wilkins Oklahoma Truck Supply is one of the best in the business. I drive a heavy wrecker and not OTR anymore. But they're still the first and usually only folks I'll call when I need something.
I’ve been by there before, I’ve never stopped. I will definitely stop the next time I go by there! Great video.

I can certainly relate to what your sayin’, come on! Drove a ‘84 359 with the 63” walk in & a 3406B in it. That Cat engine was actually painted white back then, I’m not sure when or if the B model’s were later painted yellow. All mechanical & no electronic bullshit that acted up & shut things down. Not on the road anymore but will always have good thoughts of those 359’s. Good Day to You!
Awesome vid 👍 I was worried at first but you're right, This is the right direction.
Love the emphasis on the kw a model having a kta Cummins great video seem like some really good people family owned business are the best

My God, Beautiful Peters 359
I remember a hand back in the day that had a used truck dealership & he’d always have a few 359’s that were pretty laid out, something that a owner-operator would appreciate back then. Pete 359’s with 3406’s or 3408’s & even KT450’s & 600’s. Those were the bull haulers & chicken haulers large cars for sure. I think he was out of Kansas somewhere, I think it might’ve been Shelby Elliot’s place? Good Day Everyone!
Trucks so beautiful it almost hurts to put them to work. But at least there’s power and reliability behind that beauty.
That 359 is very cool, too!!
I haven't been to Wilkins since 2010 but they had a lot of neat trucks there
These people are great people.
I drive for Acord Transportation, so you probably saw plenty of our trucks at the show. My company has an account with Wilkins Chrome Shop, they are really good and knowledgeable folks to work with!

A couple of years ago my dad stopped an acord truck that had been driving past his house on a dirt road and thanked the driver for going slow,a few days later that driver stopped and gave dad an acord cap. He wares that cap sometimes and if someone comments on it dad will tell that story
I know a Few 359’s here that needs love.an extended hood that was converted into a dump truck..and few standard hoods

Tanner has a real cool story about the truck from Cali He spoke about it when he first got it Super cool it's all stashed away inside Hope it never gets assembled
Hard to believe that ttactor made it all these years without someone putting it into service. What a save!
0 mile 359 is amazing my buddy heath out of drumright Oklahoma was the man that transported that beautiful glider from California to the shop! I was told a rumor that her dad was offered a quarter million for the truck and obviously said no

Why people don't use em what they were made for is just sad. But there are lots of people with money to waste and there are those of us that have to work hard for it.... Like you said Mickey, I'd run it to death. Def a sweet lookin truck. Shame the way trucking has went and how the EPA is ruining trucks so that reliability is a thing of the past.
This is a great video! Thank you and thanks to the family 💙

Old 359's are just flat out bitchin' :-) Gorgeous trucks... but got to go with single lense with the chrome visor with a 359... LED's but ya. Cool stuff.
9900 intl eagle was comparable. I worked at peterbilt for 9 yrs and when I went into trucking (hauling cars) I got myself a western star 4963 low max. Cool as a large car with more passenger leg room at least it was in the 90's
Nice truck, can't use it here in europe driving cattle, turnradius of an aeroplane in these old farms here in italy i am glad with a coe with a set back steer axle
I could just imagine putting a KTTA 600 marine in blue glider with a 6&4 with 325 rears be a fun truck to drive lol

Trying to give you some fun on the weekends than back at the numbers
Nice looking pete would be nicer with the sleeper used to work at steel case Canada office furniture and they had a quite a few peterbuilts they showed a few of them I used to have to load them with a forklift and they just finished painting the back ends and I guess they had delivery’s on the Friday before the shows I used to have to lay blankets down on the back end of the strate truck the tractors were about as bad cause they had ther own custom trailers all painted blankets before I put the dock plates down on them they sure kept ther trucks nice though they worked out of Grand Rapids also don’t think they are still in buSsiness around 911 they were booming then it all went down hill was a good job loading up for truckers good people always nice to me cause I didn’t waste no time loading and off loading time is money

A glider is a brand new frame, cab, sleeper (if ordered). You order it the way you want it, rebuild your own driver train, and install it. It has no motor, trans, or rearends from the factory. Hence.....no rear axles or tires.
Keep going💕💓💗
Would have been cool to see the before shots of the truck sitting in the barn
