I've been learning this about Mr. Santa after they were all shot. We can't take away the gunman's 100% wrong doing, but the way Santa dipped out and drove himself to hospital but not Peter or any other other victims. I've never been in a situation like that, but it doesn't seem like he made the best move.

I think he is one of a kind. Peter knows his roots and has been a spiritual inspiration to all Africans worldwide. What a genius!

I saw Peter Tosh and the word sound and power band Twice once at the Rainbow Theatre North London 79 and the Dominion Theatre London 83 both Gigs were very good but the Rainbow Theatre Gig was amazing Great nice One One Love peace from south London

That's right 👍 however instead of assuming the position of Reggae's new leading man Peter let his ego take control and torpedoed the opportunity. Cause honestly Tosh has been around as Long as Bob Marley was and deserved the same respect. However during the 80's Peter had met his Common law wife Marlene Brown plus by 83 Peter largely withdrew from the public eye and lived a quiet life with Marlene. During his time off Peter continued to reach out to the poor and oppressed he gave a homeless man a bed to sleep on the man was Dennis leppo who was convicted killer released from prison. People said that Peter had loan money to leppo several times and had took advantage of Peter's generosity. By 1986 Peter got tired of his quiet lifestyle and wanted to get back into the spotlight Peter created the Album full of protests called No Nuclear War now with Peter's new schedule Peter had little time for leppo. On the night of September 11 1987 Peter, Marlene and numerous friends we're making excited plans for their upcoming Tour to promote No Nuclear War till Dennis and two people came in armed with Guns and he told hey this is a stick up get down on the floor and Marlene said in the interview that one of the gunmen said to Peter that your gonna die tonight so you don't bother say nothing. They asked him where is the money they have in the house but Marlene said they have no money so they hit Tosh in his face and began to beat up on him and Marlene tried to stop them from hurting Peter but they kicked her to the floor however Peter said they could look around the house and take whatever they want. And Peter's last words when he assured them he would give em money at a later date he said stuttering I can make some arrangements some other time then Dennis had considered Peter's offer then open fired and their more then 30 shots even Marlene got shot in her head. After emptying their guns the two gunmen fled into the Jamaican night however Dennis was caught by police and arrested. Peter laid in a widening pool of blood from two gun shots to the head they took Peter to a nearby hospital and Peter had died that night Tosh was 42 when he died. Jamaica morned the loss of another Reggae Super Star as for Dennis leppo who had Peter's blood on his hands he stood trial and was charged for murder and sentence to Life in prison. Peter's final Album No Nuclear War earned a Grammy Award in 1988 something Bob Marley had never earned.

The revolving stage at Ontario Place Forum, where every seat(or better, on the grass) provided great sightlines and sound. I remember that show; Peter Tosh and his crack band put on a show that was sublime.

@@KingMellow11 Crack is an adjective, that doesn't necessarily pertain to a flaw, or "crack cocaine", I've heard it used in an alternative context, but I'm not sure exactly the difference, but in the context, I'm pretty sure it means, "skilled, adept, talented', something along those lines.
