During the Euro's 92 that danish team one time went to play mini-golf instead of the planned training, another time on their way they stopped at a McDonalds for dinner. After beating The Netherlands in the semifinal, their wifes and girlsfriends were lodged with the players.

I might be somewhat biased, because I am danish and it was the summer of my life, but... never ever have I seen a goalkeeper playing 90 minutes on the level Schmeichel did in that final in 1992. Germanys XG, had it been a thing back then, must have been like 4.0! INCREDIBLE performance by Schmeichel, who pulled out at least a handful of magic saves on absolute sitters during that game. Denmark played with passion and spirit in this tournament, and they defeated France, the reigning european champions of Holland, and the reigning world cup champions of Germany on the way to the trophy. No easy feat!
