I think the argument (that went unmade) is that having rollerblade wheels offers a tangible benefit over the wheels normally used for this sort of thing. Seems unlikely that there's enough of a difference to be worth the price, though.

She should have talked about theamount of money people spend on bags can be very high. Stephen said it was cool, she should have said she's looking for influencers for legal community etc etc... too much time building rapport with dragons, not enough defence.

£234 for a bag with wheels on it? You could get the exact same bag for less than 50 quid. Also an average revenue of like £10k with an average profit of -£12k but valued at half a million? Girl wanted to go in at 50x revenue and -42× profit for a bag that can be replicated by virtually any retailer in existence.

I had a trolley when doing 355 local papers a week on a Thursday and in 1987 it cost me £6. One of the reasons I quit that schoolboy job was I didn't want to spend another weeks wages on another one when it wore out. Even at todays prices. £100 is a lot, too much for most for this kind of thing. And doing a paper round. I would never afford one of these.

@@whoever_81That's s very good point. Someone could make a mint on inventing carts that customers could bring into the store, and roll out again to load into carriaged. All top loaded. Stores would go bananas over that because it would let the customers buy and carry vast amounts of product. Problem might be theft. So someone should invent wheels that lock up if the cart leaves the store parking perimeter. Someone also should invent self-driving carriages to vastly cut down cost of feeding and caring for horse trains.

I’ve seen similar suitcases like this year out there with the rotating wheels & common issues with the wheels needing to be replaced or coming off easily, the consumer needs a reliable suitcase and there’s too many poor ones out there. I think the look of the product gives a luxurious vibe to it, but the only great potential I see in that bag is that frame if it was able to be moulded to create other potential designs.

Cost of goods in Europe is too expensive to make sense. How to compete with China or any country in asia? Its the Kryptonite of Europe economy 🏳

Some people will "invent" a product without bothering to do research to see if it already exists.

Well she wasn't good at the start was she? Met and worked with old and middle aged women like Paola before who insist they are right about everything. She's probably done a LOT of research but hasn't seen the oversight Peter found but she didnt take it too humbly! At least she warmed to the Dragons by the end!

My mum and nan had those Peter. Tartan patterned. Why would anyone pay over $50 for one of these. No man would want to look like a grandma walking around with this bag.

Pray, permit me to confess my inclination towards siding with Peter in relation to this matter. Upon beholding the product, I am reminded of the trolley bags used by elderly women in the Baltic countries. This product here, it appears to be naught but a refurbishing or a mere alteration, transformed into an elegant looking product. Whosoever finds appeal in this, I venture to posit, is perchance of a more advanced age.
