The main MMT feature itself badly needs visual restoration, as nobody bothered to preserve the negatives after the devastating reviews back then. On the current DVD and BD release, the behind-the-scenes footage shot on Super8 looks better than the film itself.
At this point, the Holy Grail is the Star Club tapes. It shows the Beatles as they really were . A hardworking club band, playing to a drunken German crowd , and no screaming girls.

Not really, by this time Epstein had already knocked the true rough edges off. They aren't wearing leathers in this performance, they've moved on to vests and suits and clean appearance
Utilizing hundreds of hours of restored footage, Jackson is currently working on a film that depicts the Beatles finding a magical ring which they must destroy in order to save Middle Earth.

If it's a live action film next that's not a documentary, I'd suspect it'll be a restored concert film, maybe with songs added in. The Shea Stadium show has never been released in full, so that could be a good candidate. The Star Club thing wouldn't be live action as he'd have to animate The Beatles due to there not being any footage. There is less than a minute of footage from another show from that era, but that's it. I'm sure that is something that Peter Jackson has on his to do list though.

Magical Mystery was shot on regular film. It's already out on Blu-ray, and a deluxe edition "collectors' box". A little off topic but they could add the Strawberry Fields, Penny Lane and Hello Goodbye videos to the film, putting them in strategic spots. The album needs a deluxe treatment. I truly believe it’s a great idea that once it’s the turn of “Help!” And “A Hard Day’s Night” deluxe box sets. They’ll release the movies in 4K with the new remixes! From there, there the star club has to come back as well! I’m happy we still get the remixes though and I kinda sorta think they Giles would want to remix all of remixed ones with Peter’s MAL technology. Maybe? I don’t know. I just want more Beatles forever lol
Star Club needs to be next. They rock so hard on those tapes. It's a shame they didn't record some of those songs in the studio. Imagine Beatles For Sale with those rockers instead of the covers we got. All 4 Beatles are on fire, but Ringo is nuclear. No Ringo, no Beatles.
Make the entirety (or as much as reasonably possibly) of the Get Back footage available as a 10 or 12 episode series. That's all I want.
What about a "Get Back" from the '94 and '95 era?
Any studio footage of them playing any of the songs that they never played live. Yes please!!!
i would love to see alternate camera angles of all the clips they made ...outakes of the clips must also be there -with raw unedited footage - surely...you would think so????
Many thanks for posting. I would love to have your views on introducing the Beatles through the film "Yellow Submarine" ie, to children and young people. Moreover, songs like "Here Comes The Sun", "My Sweet Lord", "We All Stand Together", "Yellow Submarine" & "Good Night", et al can make a huge difference in the long run. These raw ideas can be the top of the iceberg perhaps. Best wishes
I would be most interested in cleaned up BBC recordings.
I think a live performance in good quality from 1963-1966 would be great.
There's not that much material left. The post Abbey Road to March 1970 story has been underrepresented in documentaries. More footage of Apple back in 1968 would be interesting. Star Club would be tremendous, but that recording sounds like the tape recorder was in an adjacent building.
I'm lucky enough to have the original Let it be documentary film of which I've had a good many years.. And The Peter Jackson Get Back film both on Dvd
I want to see all that Hey Jude footage.
The Bournemouth Aug.63 tape (recorded by a employee at the Gaumont theatre ) kept in a biscuit tin for years brought at auction by apple in 1998. Its meant to sound great
The biggest problem I see with this is they can’t wait years between projects because the biggest die-hard fans are getting older and will be dead before a lot of this comes out. The people that would enjoy it the most may not be around

My guess is that the project mentioned in 2022 was the Now and Then mini-documentary. I really highly doubt that Paul, Ringo, Yoko & Sean, and Olivia & Dhani would be in favor of an attempted AI video ;recreation' of a Star Club performance. Personally, I'd be very angry if that is the case. I have no problem using AI to de-mix music, whether it be from The Beatles or others, but I would 100% have a problem with something fake like a Star Club concert film, especially if it had to use AI-generated speech in between songs. On another note, an Anthology upgrade (both audio and video) would be nice; I do have the 2003 Anthology DVD box set, but I would definitely consider upgrading, at least partly depending on the price, if that was announced. Upgrading some BBC audio could be a good idea too; I also think that the remaining BBC material (Dream Baby from 1962, etc.) could/should be used as bonus tracks on a potential Star Club de-mix/remix and/or a potential expanded version of Please Please Me.

Visual Beatles AI deepfakery has already been done with the official blessing by EMI and Apple with the video to "Now and Then", by creating new shots of John and George dancing and wiggling around while dressed like in the "Hello Goodbye" clip. It's not done from scratch as how many people are paranoid nowadays when it comes to generative AI, it's more like motion capturing and post-pro filters applied to old or new footage. But I gotta say one thing, they did a botch job on the greenscreen editing for that video. The AI versions of John and George are edited amateurishly into the modern footage of Paul and Ringo by using cheap or free greenscreening filters.
But, what makes you think he will make another movie about The Beatles? He already did "Get Back" and "Let It Be." In a few years the Biopics will be released, so I don't think it is "business" for him to release a film about The Beatles at the same time as the Biopics. MMT was released on Bluray, so.. which already has sufficient good quality. There is no film material about Star-Club. There are only the audios (which, by the way, would be interesting to hear restored and in the correct order and speed - although the raw audio gives it its own charm!) I think something very valuable to have in 4K could be the "Anthology" that is mentioned in the video. It has been many years since its original release. It deserves a remastering (and why not, with some extrass!). 🤤
