OMG....Its Sunday and its pouring out and I stumbled onto this movie. I am speechless. What a nice flick. Her description of the After Life at the end is EXACTLY what I would hope for. Exactly. Sure...its a lil corny in spots BUT thats the time period as well. Naw....I think you are gonna enjoy this one!!

Yes, dear, but it is not true. It is only a film and the description is the wishful thinking put in somewhere where it would fit nicely, into this romantic film. There is no afterlife, do not fool yourself. There is however a possibility to live forever here on earth. That is the real hope from the bible and not afterlife. That is a lie propagated through centuries by certain false religious teachings, that are not based on the Bible nor do they show you what it really says and what God's promise is.

Not mentioned in the summary is that it is based on a novel by Georges du Maurier. This happens too often in the presentation of these older movies based on literature. For decades now, American cinema has not given a damn about literature so this is not a problem.

Good movie that reminds me of the best romance movie ever made, in my opinion...Wuthering Heights (1939). However, the ending in this movie (1935) was pretty cheesy and his conviction made no sense because it really was self-defense; the wife was a witness to that fact. Thanks for the upload, nonetheless. I'd never seen this movie before & enjoyed it.

I find the story line clunky. I loved the beginning and up until Peter and Mary met at her great country home. But the part where they both went out of their bodies and met in some garden was a stretch. What was that all about? It ruined the story. Why could they not just have fast forwarded the film to when they both died and met in Heaven, having been sincere Christians, where "there will be no more sorrow, no more pain and no more separation." That would have made the story more realistic. In any case, I loved the romantic Victorian settings. Thank you.

Here, though we fancy ourselves alive, we but dwell in the realm of death. There, we will dwell in the Realm of true Life, wondrous Light, and enchanted Love, forevermore! As voiced within this heavenly Message, and mystical encouragement to our souls, "The strangest things are True!, And the Truest things are strange!" -- But, glorious beyond our WILDEST imaginings! But true theology

I pray that all who read these comments, will listen to the True words of the Gospel. This film is fantasy, not the Truth of everlasting life. If you die without Christ, you WILL NOT go to a beautiful, ever after. Do you want to live in the only guaranteed Heaven? Then, believe on Jesus, the Christ. He came to Earth, the Only begotten Son of God. He was crucified, on the cross, according to all that is written in The Word, and according to all that was spoken, by the prophets. He DIED and was buried. He rose on the 3rd day and is seated at the right hand of the Father. If you believe it, in your heart and profess it with your mouth, your sins will be forgiven and you WILL have TRUE and everlasting life. Please, listen. Without Jesus, you will not be received in Heaven

Please, this is not true. You were taught this, but it is very wrong to say that only people who believe in Jesus go to heaven.

We are to repent off sin and restore and make amends biblically with one another. The lawless will be rejected. Sin is transgression of His law. The unrepented disobedient unbelieving will not inherit the Kingdom of heaven. Praise our MESSIAH YaHSHuWaH....in Hebrew means Salvation ....and the word He raw means to be crossed over from death unto life. 1 John 2 His Holy days of Lev 23 are His Plan of Salvation and Marriage Covenant to His Bride. May we all become Israel through the grafting in, He has only one flock. Shalom shalom(completeness, perfectness and wholeness) who’s circumcised hearts and minds are continuously on YHWH. ❤ 🙏🏼🕊🤍🙏🏼🤍🕊🙏🏼

@@sungeigerong1 If you know this as a fact then answer these questions. Please answer these questions: “Then יהוה (YHWH) answered Who is this who darkens counsel by words without knowledge? Now gird up your loins like a man, and I ask you, and you answer Me. Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Declare, if you have understanding. Who set its measurements, if you know? Or who stretched the line upon it? Upon what were its foundations sunk? Or who laid its corner-stone, when the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of Elohim shouted for joy? Or who enclosed the sea with doors, when it burst forth and came from the womb; when I made the clouds its garment, and thick darkness its swaddling band; and assigned for it My law, and set bars and doors; and said, ‘This far you have come, but no farther, and here your proud waves stop?’ Have you ever commanded the morning, and caused the dawn to know its place, to take hold of the ends of the earth, and the wrong be shaken out of it? It is changed like clay under a seal, and they stand out like a garment. And their light is withheld from the wrong, and the arm lifted up is broken. Have you come to the sources of the sea? Or have you walked about in the recesses of the deep? Were the gates of death revealed to you? Or have you seen the gates of the shadow of death? Have you understood the breadth of the earth? Declare, if you know it all. Where is the way to the dwelling of light? And darkness, where is its place, that you should take it to its boundary, and know the paths to its home? Do you know? For you would have been born then, and the number of your days been many! Have you entered into the storehouses of snow, or have you seen the storehouses of hail, which I have kept for the time of distress, for the day of fighting and battle? Where is the way that light is divided, or the east wind scattered over the earth? Who has cleft a channel for the overflowing water, or a way for the thunderclaps, to make rain fall on land where no one is, a wilderness in which there is no man; to satisfy the wild and waste places, and to make the seeds of grass to sprout? Does the rain have a father? Or who has brought forth the drops of dew? From whose belly comes the ice? And who gave birth to the frost of the heavens? The waters harden like stone, and the surface of the deep is frozen. Do you bind the bands of Kimah, or loosen the cords of Kesil? Do you bring out the constellations in its season? Or do you lead the Bear with its sons? Do you know the laws of the heavens? Or do you set their rule over the earth? Do you lift up your voice to the clouds, so that floods of water cover you? Do you send out lightnings, and they go and say to you, ‘Here we are!’? Who has put wisdom in the inward parts? Or who has given understanding to the heart? Who has wisdom to count the clouds, or to tip over the bottles of the heavens, when the dust hardens in clumps, and the clods cling together? Do you hunt the prey for the lion, or satisfy the appetite of the young lions, when they crouch in dens, sit in the cover of their hiding place? Who provides food for the raven, when its young ones cry to Ěl, and wander about without food?” ‭‭Iyoḇ (Job)‬ ‭38:1-41‬ ‭ And etc….. ❤We must repent and walk straight n righteous through our MESSIAH. Fear is the beginning of His knowledge.

This movie, to me, is one of the worst, sappy, picture, I have ever seen. Whatever were the directors and producers thinking of? A movie to rival Wuthering Heights? I am glad to say, I will NEVER watch it again. I hope the roles were not to painful for Anne Harding and Gary Cooper to play. It was painful to watch. I am truly, glad others have enjoyed watching it.

Wow, it’s fantasy. Good to have in these dark days. And they do spend years and years, eternity together. Did you ever watch What Dreams May Come with Robin Williams? My husband has promised he’d rather follow me to hell than live eternity without me. Of course, I’m assured I won’t be going there. Heaven will be a restful and peaceful place with love abundant.

Are you afraid to die? Be ready. God so loved the world that He gave His only Son (Jesus Christ) that whoever believes in Him will not die but have everlasting life. John 3:16 Receive Christ and believe before it is too late.

Unfortunately, too many of those who watched the movie, have not accepted Christ. I pray, dear Father God, you give them clear eyes, to see the folly of this world's deceptions. Jesus, allow them to hear your Truth, before it it too late. Give them a heart to accept YOUR everlasting life, not fantasies. In You Holy Name, Jesus, Amen
