What I love most about Peter Hook's bass playing is that it makes you feel dread and hope at the same time - like being on ecstasy at the edge of a cliff. No one else sounds like him.

Watching this and the other things Hooky has done in Lockdown it's right to say that after the end of Factory, The Hacienda and New Order he is now holding himself and the legacy up with great care and integrity. He knows what this all means to so many people and seems to revel in his responsibility to it all.

Yeah, well Hooky, has a better memory than Bernard. I believe Peter, was more interested in taking about the past ( on joy Division songs + Ian Curtis,). I went to see Peter Hook in 2010. Doing a chat with fans. It was only for 2 hours, but s few of us stayed behind until the bar closed. It was a great experience. He was very honest with his answers to questions about Factory records, The Hacienda club + being a successful bassist in bands. He let us on stage to view all his collection of early demos ( tapes), Football players shirts and other features from the hacienda/Factory. 👍🍻

I like Joy Division and I like New Order. Completely different bands (and this is very good!). But when I saw Peter Hook playing JD's songs today, I couldn't help but think of a parallel universe in which Division had continued with Hook's vocals! Summers did a good job with the New Order, but in my humble opinion, Ian Curtis' spirit falls much better on Peter Hook! Greetings from Portugal!

Fuckin bloody oath ! You cannot fault this performance, and it proves conclusively that Peter Hook & The Light are streets ahead of NO when it comes to performing "live" ! From the opening "LWTUA",to that faultless rendition of "Atmosphere" to that stunning version of "Regret" to the closer "Ceremony" - if you closed your eyes,it would be like hearing for the very first time again - sublime. Poor old Barney must be aghast that Hookys vocals just suit every song now,and a big finger to all those that call him and the band a covers band ! Hopefully you'll get back to New Zealand again guys, the last show in Auckland was fuckin awesome.

Oh my Lord. This is awesome. Not sure why people are calling for reunions when this music is being performed by people who care about it. I’m also impressed by the sound quality of that electronic drum kit.

Hooky is more New Order than New Order are these days, saw him live a few years back and was truly nostalgic hearing these songs played live and so true to the original recordings. And his singings improved :-). F'kin luv it

Now years later from this, I've seen both PH&TL and NO live in person and PH&TL is sooooo much better these days. Absolutely brilliant.

Dear youtube. every time you interrupt a video with a commercial I and many others make a point of never buying or endorsing the product advertised. So fuck off with that.
