I have watched this clip at least 100 times over the years and and I am still amazed by it. Peter and his whole crew had such energy and enthusiasm. You can tell they enjoyed every moment on stage.

Whenever I watch Peter Gabriel, it feels like a celebration of life.

So incredibly late to the party. This is fantastic. I made it my entire life without hearing this song somehow. This live version is absolutely beautiful.

If you have yet to see and hear Don't Give Up with Paula Cole live on the Secret World Tour, I suggest you check that out. It is astonishingly good!

Headless guitar, double violin, and Levin on a chapman stick. Pure epic.

In a bad mood or feeling sad, this is a definite lift to the spirits. One of the best live performances on youtube.

Ever the innovator, Peter Gabriel was wearing skinny jeans in the 90's... This is my favourite live version This is one of my top 10 songs ever. It is so happy, always makes me smile.

Lovely, just lovely! The fun they are having performing the song and watch that crowd! Should always be like that.

I am a huge Van Morrison fan....yet the one song that has to see me off when I go is this...Solsbury Hill tells almost exactly how it was for me when self realisation finally transpired....oh the indescibable beauty of the bigger picture....and yes there were no drugs or other material stimulants just an open heart and eternal love. It's there for everyone...so well said Peter Gabriel

I couldn't remember which version I used to hear from my dad's cd's when I was a kid. This was it and I'm glad I found it. Way better than the album.

This is one of my top 10 songs ever. It is so happy, always makes me smile.

This is one of those rare times where I prefer the live version over the original (specifically THIS one from the Secret World DVD/album). What a song. Peter Gabriel is a true artist. And Manu Katche just kills on this whole album. No doubt he's a true artist, too :)

Almost nothing gives me deeper joy than watching musicians I enjoy having fun with each other. Just the best.

Well, let me take this opportunity to share, this song makes me happy, reminds me of how I felt when after a month they came to take me home from the state hospital, where I had been interned after a serious depressive episode. I dance and sing with P. Gabriel to this song! I am ELATED!!

Meagan Tompkins I agree 100% Ms. Meagan. This song is pure joy. For me....the song is about making a big change in your life. The fear and uncertainty you initially feel. But then...when it happens....it's okay....and you realize that things will be better. In fact , it's already started just by you recognizing the NEED for that change and then moving forward. This is of particular significance to me because....I am about to make a big change myself. It's going to hurt...but this time next year I will be wondering why I didn't do it sooner. And even though we've never met , I am glad you are better. Have a wonderful life !!!

I was at this particular concert and indeed the enthusiasm was contagious. Sweet sweet memories as I grow older.

My favorite version of a favorite song. I saw him perform this during his Secret World tour appearance in Tacoma, and it's a favorite memory.

Good songs make a memory and I have a great memory of this song.....

I finally got to see Peter for the New Blood tour, but this will always be the one I wish I'd seen. Of course, Solsbury Hill is and always will be his signature song.

Just learned that the song is about his breaking ties with Phil Collins and Genesis, and now this is one of the most moving live performances I have ever seen.

TheSanityInspector It was a difficult break. Peter’s first child had just been born and she was very ill. He felt that he needed to be at home, taking care of her. The others weren’t sympathetic. “You can keep my things, they’ve come to take me home.” Peter is not over it, he refuses to be part of any Genesis reunions.

@@CissaBlack I always thought it was Phil that put the kibosh on any Genesis reunion with Peter, and that's just because he can't play drums anymore. "If we had a reunion with Peter, where would that leave me? I would be the drummer, and I can't do that."

I will never ever tire of listening to this song! And this is certainly a feel good performance to watch!

Makes me sad when the lyrics "Grab your things I've come to take you home" are sang, my dad, and my two favorite aunts were raised in a childrens home and it makes me wonder why my grandmother couldn't make arrangements with our large family to TAKE THEM HOME.... Part sadness and part rage now that my father has passed away.

Always a Joy to see Masters of their craft, enjoying their talents so much .

What a fantastic performance of a superb song

On Gabriel's official website it says this: The negatives of the original film are repaired and cleaned, scanned at 2K resolution (twice the size of Full HD) and graded again. They will also add Red Rain!

I remember first seeing the videos from the full concert around 25 years ago. I thought to myself he is a musical genius & performer
