I'm a 56 year old man , and Peter Gabriel's songs still bring tears to my eyes.I've never been to any church where the music could put me as close to The Spirit as this man's compositions.I think he is a foretaste of the music that must fill Heaven( which,by the way,is an ocean).

It never fails to make me scratch my head in wonder why people who don't like this kind of music can't just move on and not leave obnoxious comments and/or click dislike.To the 11 music haters that clicked dislike..go away,you won't be missed.

I was in a devastating. life shattering car wreck. when I was finally able - this song made me inspired to work my ass off. I was told I'd never walk again..... 95% back to normal! thank u

Peter Gabriel= one of the best songwriters ever!

Peter Gabriel is the single greatest "Rock" artist whose career started in the 1960's to still be relevant today (Sorry...Paul McCartney, Robert Plant and Neil Young). The fact that he is not in the Hall of Fame is a joke. His career had easily eclipsed his time in Genesis. He is a true "Artist", he writes, plays multiple instruments, produces, contrives theatrical performances and is unique in so many ways. Watch this concert from beginning to end.it is masterful. No one out there can touch it.

Peter Gabriel still has that signature sound all his own. You can always tell it's a Peter Gabriel composition, and performance. The harmonies were captivating.

Peter has one of the (possibly THE) most distinguishingly glorious voices i've EVER heard!

May dad would have been 63 today, lost him 16 years ago. I know what Sexton's poems meant to her, but I also know what this song means to me. He drowned on a pretty day in March and in many ways he had it all together. He lost control of a boat and by some miracle, my mother lived. I nearly went along that day. I often regret that I didn't, because maybe the outcome would have been different; maybe I'd have drowned with him or died in his place or saved him as he had done me so many times.

What Peter is so gifted is that he promotes otherwise (perhaps) unknown artist into mainstream. OK, I admit I personally don't know some of these fabulous artists, but they are incredible. Again, I must say that those who vote "thumbs down"need to just stay away!

He also appears to play a Rickenbacker guitar on downside up. Perhaps that might help.
