Thank you Mr. Dinklage for not only your performance as Tyrion Lannister, you play him perfectly! But the main reason I commented here is because he gave thanks to the man who deserves a ton of recognition, George R.R Martin. He doesn't get enough credit when these directors/ actors wins these awards. He's a genius and should always get the recognition he deserves!

He never stops being Tyrion, no wonder his acting is so natural and good. Excellent performance.

Charming and endearing? The guy is a dipshit. He went nuclear because of Disneys snow white and basically ruined the chances of other dwarves being in that show. He has climbed the ladder of success playing a dwarf in GOT and now is pulling the ladder up and saying FU to all other dwarf actors.

Awww, I love that Lena (Cersei) gave him a hug after his wife. You’d think spending all the time on set some people would form a brother-sister relationship, I hope that was the case for them considering their characters relationship lol

AFAIK only Lena and Jerome Flynn (Bronn) didn't get along. If you noticed, they never appear on screen together. They had a VERY acrimonious break up, and since then will not work together.

They actually used to be roommates! Lena tells a story about how Peter used to play dead for hours to see if she'd ever come to check on him, and then he'd get bored with it and wander into her room and demand "WHY DIDN'T YOU COME TO SEE IF I WAS DEAD OR SOMETHING"

Great talent gets respect. As stated here it was his second win with five consecutive nominations. By the time the show ended he had four wins with eight nominations only missing our in 2017 for some reason.

He might have played a dwarf in game of thrones but there were certain scenes where he was the biggest guy in the room. I am so proud of him

Truly outstanding performance. Man, not only the plot, the writing but also the acting are all top notch in GOT.

watching this now, really wish jonathan banks won the emmy. peter dinkalage deserves the recognition as a little person doing big things, but the "broke my boy" episode of better call saul wowed me more than any game of thrones performance.

He really is an outstanding actor and a genuinely nice person. I met him on the street in NYC in the middle of the night and I really didn't want to bother him, so I just greated him and he offered to take a photo and we had a brief chat about us both being in town for work. Really really great man.

Well deserved. I watched often because he was on!

We can see that everyone was happy for him winning.

Ideal Game of Thrones winners: Season 3: Nikolaj Coster-Waldau Season 4: Peter Dinklage Season 5: Alfie Allen (well, if they'd given that character as much focus as he should have had this year) Can't really remember who stood out most on seasons one and two. Probably Sean Bean and Peter Dinklage again. As for who should have won right here, I'm in agreement with Dinklage: should've been Jonathan Banks.

Jonathan Banks was robbed of his one chance at an Emmy this evening, and Peter Dinklage knew it. He even singled him out as the person who should have won. The whole speech felt like an apology for winning. Especially for season 8.

this guy is made of heroic material. he's a heroic inspiration and is spellbinding and outstanding in each role he's played. i prefer his more subtle performances like the one he gave in "the station agent."

You can tell he told his wife he had gum in and she held out her hand for a minute then giggled. So funny Edit:she may have even took it because he said he WAS chewing gum lol

Peter Dinklage was awesome though....he was the core around which Game of Thrones revolved. His performance was completely central to the story and was perfectly performed. Perfection. So an award is surely deserved!!

This was so well deserved !! this was after season 4 his performance was at its peak . and then comes the bitter memory of what happened to his character afterwards 😐

I love Peter. But Jonathan should really have won. :o

I saw them both and I can tell they both deserved. I guess they gave it to him because all the times they had given the award to Aaron Paul instead of him in the previous years, like Veep getting the award while Modern Family(winning like 5 times in a row) being just as good or Jon Hamm (loosing like 8 times in a row) getting it while Kevin Spacey being just as good.

The810kid Yeah, I understand what you're getting at, but to me the 6th episode of better call saul was amazing. We saw Mike's backstory and it was awesome, and one of the best writing I've seen ever. Mike's final statement with his son's wife was emmy award winning in itself. Like how Peter should've won last year for his trial speech.

Kevin Zambrano See to me while peter is a good actor he just didn't do enough this season. His only really good talk was with Dany about the wheel of noble houses. Jonathan Banks just played Mike so well and his backstory episode just deserved the Emmy. Him talking to his son's wife made me speechless and he killed 2 cops in the scene before in an awesome, well thought out fashion.
