Dude....OFF the Chain!! There are only a few moments in Superhero movies that hurt through my soul ...and this was one of them. The song used just took it further.

The saddest part of it is he saves MJ so easily, which means he replayed the scenario over and over and over again to the point he knew exactly what he would do if EVER given the chance. And as a man who has lived with regret, that shit hits different. This entire interaction between the Peters offerinc each one closure in their own timeline was extremely well done in my opinion. I cried in the theater and I tear up every time these scenes hit.

It’s sad that after he lost Gwen, he got so desperate to keep other people from losing a person they love, especially if it’s like the relationship between Peter and Gwen. This also means after he learned of Earth-19999 Peter being in a relationship with MJ just like him and Gwen, he mentally went through every scenario and how it would play out.

No, he isn't. THEY ALL ARE. Tobey maguire conveys anger realisation and strength. Tom shows happiness, truthfulness and joy with his jokes. And Andrew garfields spiderman is what you said. Minus the best spiderman.

Andrew Garfield was hands down the best actor in this movie. Tom did great and showed incredible range. But Andrew stole every scene he was in. His facial expression after saving MJ broke my heart.

When Andrew jumps the second time you feel someone who has replayed the situation a million times in his head trying to figure out how he could have done better. Without even a word having to be said. That's powerful.

@@macjalac5845 he could have saved her by using a web sling to shorten the distance like how he saved mj… you notice he didn’t shoot a web towards her and slinged himself to decrease the time it took to save her. He did this because he learned from the mistake he made in failing to save gwen. There was a way.. he just acted on instinct the first time around.

The comics had a similar moment like this. For those who might not know, in the books, peter actually killed gwen when he tried to save her from the green goblin dropping her...the whiplash from stopping so suddenly snapped her kneck, and she died. Flash forward to when he saved anna maria at the end of the superior spider-man run, and he actually has an inner monolog about how hes gone over it a million times in his heas, basically daily, since gwen died, and how now he leaens every point of the body he needs to latch onto and the exact required force to avoid that from ever happening again, and saves her.

The way he throws the steel beam out of the way. The fact he refused to rely on his webs again. Every second of this scene, the more you think of it the harder it is to watch. Such a powerful moment for emotion.

When he catches MJ and asks if she's okay, you can really feel his emotion. That was honestly one of the most powerful scenes in the movie for me. I don't really tear up during movies often but damn, this one hit hard. Knowing how he was so close to saving Gwen but ultimately just didn't have enough time and then seeing him redeem himself was great but also so saddening to see his reflection of the whole situation. Like I felt that. I felt his sadness in that moment.

same situation happens with in men in real life also....we get slaped , we get scolding , we get taunt by everyone but a real lover do his level best to impress his girl , when some one ask " are u ok " ....i dont know about others but for me it is more heart warming than "i love u" my English may not be good , but i hope u understand

Once I knew all the Spidermen were going to be in this movie, I KNEW this moment would happen. It choked me up the first time and every time. That's a credit to all the performers, the Directors and everyone who had a hand in those moments. And it's little moments like that, that really make movies or any media, so amazing, when they can touch you and make you relate in a real human way.

Okay, but I love that MJ was genuinely asking him if he was okay when she saw he was about to break down. She legit almost died but asked this superhero if he was alright.

This whole movie really showed me how much Andrew Garfield's grown as an actor, I really never suspected the kid who played Spider Man would be able to have such a depth on emotion in scenes like this. He really killed it in this movie and in Under the Banner of Heaven.

Lol he’s been pretty incredible from the start? Have you seen some of his other stuff? This wasn’t a display of how he’s grown as an actor he’s been a bloody good actor the whole time. In fact I think he’s one of the best actors at pulling into really hard deep emotions. Like man any movie I see him in I FEEL the characters pain. The way Andrew acts doesn’t make it a choice, it makes you UNDERSTAND the character, like truly UNDERSTAND the character. I just think his acting has always had a real vunrability and a deepth that is unique to him and that I have not seen in any other actor.

Andrew Garfield was always criminally overlooked and Im so happy this movie redeemed his qualities. His acting wasnt the problem. His portrayal of Peter was perfectly fine too. But the whole behind-the-scenes-business just put such a damper on his tenure as Spider-man.

Agreed, his Peter was a great portrayal of the character depending on what source material you compared him to, but thanks to Sony, all the potential his movies had were wasted :/ I'm so glad he returned in NWH and I hope he's back in Venom 3.

Why is nobody talking about the thumbnail, its just perfect

When I first saw the Gwen death scene I thought it was the saddest thing to have ever happened in a Marvel movie. Then they went and triggered the world's PTSD right after we had all finally moved passed Gwen's death by having Garfield Spiderman catch MJ. We all felt the pain with Peter when he asked MJ "Are you okay?" and she responded "Are *you* okay?". Powerful movie moment, and this video, with this song make it even more power. Great work on putting this together.

His emotion in this movie was so high due to him recently losing his mom and I swear you can feel his pain in every scene he steals. Stellar acting channeling that pain onto the big screen

Andrew was the best part of No Way Home. I cried watching this scene. You can just see in his mind that he's replaying Gwen and glad that he had a chance for a do over - even if it didn't save Gwen. Andrew's whole performance made me like him so much more now as Spider-Man than I did then - he redeemed himself.

You know what really makes spiderman such a genius, his accuracy with physics. The first time, it was not the fall that killed qwen, it was how she suddenly stopped falling breaking her neck. Whereas when he saves zendaya, he dives and grabs her, then when he was upright, he stopped their fall. This way the force is transmitted between MJ and spidy, resulting in less to no damage. Poor andrew was probably calculating this entire thing.

Sorry but his portrayal of Peter and Spiderman was cringe af in his solo movies and they made his Spiderman far too much of a dick overall and more like a psychopathic jock at worst. No Way Home really ironed him out and stripped away most of the flaws that the movies gave his Peter.

To live with that same memory through out his life, to think how he could have saved her, to deny and not deny this every single day, man how painful it could be for him.

@@felypinho020 he redeemed himself not in the box office kind of way, but in character development. Gwen's death was a huge trauma for him, and saving MJ gave him a sort of "second chance" at preventing the same tragedy

I think this was the first time I ever sobbed watching a movie. I still remember the disbelief and sadness I felt when I saw this scene in the theatre... best Spiderman couple 💔

Andrew is by far the most loving emotional spiderman ever. Just got to love him!

This and the scene where Tobey’s Spider-Man said he spent a lot of time thinking about how he could’ve cured the Goblin were the saddest in the movie. Spider-Man’s story is riddled with heartbreak, and clearly both spent a lot of time reflecting on the people they couldn’t save.

I like how Andrew's Spiderman kind of already knows what to do, he doesn't repeat the same mistake of just throwing a web and not supporting the rest of his body, he takes it in his lap and lands with it on the ground, thus giving support and preventing the same thing that happened to Gwen Stacy from happening, he really redeemed himself.

When he saved MJ…one of the most emotional scenes I’ve seen in Spider-Man. Especially bc he lost Gwen the EXACT same way.

The Spider-Man who suffered the most. Whose wound cut so deep that it will never heal and even saving a friend from the fate he has suffered is no real consolation for his pain because in the end he goes home to the sad realization that she’s still gone. Losing a family member like the others did is hard but losing your true love like he did is harder because you see it in her eyes and she was out of reach and will forever be out of reach. He saw her fear in her eyes , he knew she trusted him to save her and when he came close to achieving it it was to late. All he can hope by saving mj is a bit of relief from his self inflicted blame.

Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man hits differently. Tobey' Peter lost Uncle Ben, His best friend. Andrew' Peter lost Uncle Ben, Gwen, Tom's Spider-Man lost Tony Stark (Mentor), Aunt May and the fact that nobody remembers him as a person, who actually existed in their life. All make me cry at some point and can realise their pain.

Unpopular opinion: all spideys was perfect on their own way... I loved all of them.

With all the craziness that is happening in the Marvel Universe, this is one of the things i want history to change. This spiderman needs her Gwen, his one and only true love.

Guys, this dude is lying hahahah. He’s kind of right. Gwen was peters real first love, but she never knew Peter was Spider-Man and died hating Spider-Man but loving Peter. Then, moved by her death, both Peter and MJ get closer together and eventually marry.

The "No Way Home" part of the series is a very touching union, you get to sum it all in one picture of what they struggle or go through. Each one of them lost something... and they get to feel it all

tbh this scene was the only reason why I loved this movie. Andrew's reaction after saving MJ was just perfect. It was a mix of emotions; he was sad cause he remembered how he wasn't able to save Gwen and happy, cause he felt he was given a second chance to save another spiderman's Gwen (MJ)

His tears were like ocean waves filled with emotion. And how could his eyelids hold it back😢😭💔

She actually took her last breath while she was falling cause she knew that peter was already late to catch her...

This fr made me cry so hard. You can tell that when he jumps he's gone through what happened to Gwen a billion times over in his head and he knows exactly what to do. Andrew always does an amazing job in scenes like these. I remember my brother coming home the night he broke up with his girlfriend and he walked in right at this scene and broke down balling. My brother is not one to show emotion but this scene did an amazing job portraying how hard it would actually be and would it would be like if you went through something like that. I could go on for a long time about the emotions brought on from this video but that would take a really long time and i'm not about to do that to yall but this makes me cry every single time.

I always hear about people wanting Tobey to have another go at Spider-Man, but this scene shows that Andrew deserves it just as much as he does
