Superb effort! I’ve walked through Roade cutting many times at 1:57 captures it perfectly. Although the “birdcage” only spans the up and down slow in real life and the fast lines climb up and turn to Blisworth. Pete is right the cage is mostly black so beautifying is possibly the word he was after!

Big layout problems ay. I’ll go back to worrying about where to put a shelf layout. I wish I had even half the sized layout as this. Love it.

reckon there is a transfer structure or underslung soil pipes causing the increase in height of the ffl distance. The different colours on the GA's probably represents different tenures. One colour will be social rent, another will be shared ownership, another will be affordable rent, and one will be 'high end'. All the balconies will be bolt on, you might as well just 3d print a load of similar ones. There are lots of manufacturers these days, each of which will allow some customisation.

Still puzzled. Are you running trains with the pantogrsphs clipped down? If not how are they transitioning the Roade cutting with no contact wires?

That's where I come in, between Phil and I we've got the solutiion to that . Almost all the 'birdcage will be removable just in case there are any derailments but we can still run with pans up. Aron

Where we’re going, you don’t need “rode’s” 😂 That said, from a person who has worked that piece of line on many an occasion, it does bring back memories 👍

Just watched Pete using bandsaw to cut tiles. Particles were flying around in his air space. WHERE IS HIS FACE MASK…PLEASE USE IT.

@@Colt-bd2mv give me some credit for watching the whole item,on KZread. The particles created by the sawing action are as dangerous as dust from tiles and other items - benchtops and sink tops made in artificial stoneware that have just been withdrawn from sale here. Breathing in these particles is more insidious than breathing in your partner’s Covid particles. They just don’t manifest themselves as quickly as Covid. Problem is that ignorance has now created a situation where despite all the warnings , which appear to have gone in one ear and come out the other one, it’s the rest of us who have to pick up the tab !

I want to like it, I really do, but it's not twee, or old fashioned, or even nice looking. Very few modern trains have any character. We can see them every day still running on many tracks but these are still over priced toys.. for ever. Really..there not real, get it. ...mmmmm
