I think it's important to buy the necessities for your business (scooper, plastic bags, bucket, bleach) and then just start scooping! Once you land a couple of clients, use the money from your appointments and buy the rest of the items needed. :)

@@PoopScoopsForNoobs Its going well.Thanks.Getting New Clients a couple times a week.Still Trying to see which Service my Clients need beside just Scooping.By adding Add on Services Like Bucket Pick Ups or Santizing Or Lawn Care too for Elderly Clients.Im doing word of mouth,some advertising with Pet Businesses, Event Sponsoring like 5k runs or Pet Events in the Park. Also with Business Cards or Door Hangers by going door to door.Its alot to keep up with but Im willing to do it to learn and to hopefully be successful in future..lol🤓👍💩What did You do to get Your Name and Business Noticed in order to gain Clients,Tony?

I love all the different add on services you're looking into! Just be weary of "Paralysis By Analysis". If you give too many options to a client, sometimes they will feel overwhelmed and won't make any decision. Sometimes it's just better to give them as few options as possible so it's easier for them to say "Yes". Honestly, I only focused on Facebook Ad marketing to build my business, and through word of mouth. Using that two alone, I've been able to get up to 15 weekly clients when I first started. :)

Thank you!!! Never accept payments into your personal account, you must have a business account so you can show the IRS a separation of income between your business and personal money. I created a DBA for my business when I started.

It's my pleasure!! You can link Jobber to your business account to transfer any payments directly to your bank too so you shouldn't have to worry about mixing personal and business income 😊

What did you add to the end of your handles? Looks like it would be much more comfortable and you'd be able to endure more with less calluses.

That depends on your route density and how much you're charging. I have a route that I can do in 3-4 hours and make $250+ so maybe 12-16 hours a month

Where do you take the bags to dispose of them?

Great question!! You can take them to the local dump, or leave them in your customer's trash can (it would not be considered full service so you'd have to charge less) or work with a local business to use their dumpster or your own trashcan 🙂

@@justindelle1001 As long as that's the appropriate way to dispose of pet waste in your state, you should be good! I know some scoopers had their trash people say they can't dispose of the dog poop in their trash can so it's always best to speak with your local town council on any requirements

Dog waste is full heavy on protein and is horrible for helping grass grow. It doesn't become a good fertilizer
