Not sure if ya know but you should make a humidity hide :) they’re easy to google and make.

Just a tip, make sure the terrarium is fully complete before getting your gecko.

Fyi the moss is to put in a moist hide,moise hides are for when they are shedding,you cna make one with a plastic container or one of the hides i already have,just be sure to mist the hide with water so it can stay moist,basicly it help them get thier shed off easier

dont use moss in any place other than the humid hide

I just got my baby leopard gecko yesterday! Shes a lavender Mack gem morph and so pretty:D I went straight to bio active because I wanted her to have a natural environment I think it likes it lol loved the video

This is awesome! I’ve loved lizards since I was a kid. Wish I’d had one of these then!

im glad u put him on the heat pad whilee he was in the box he came in, my brother got one and while setting up the cage it got too cold and died :(

I’m getting one in less than a week hopefully getting everything finished tomorrow (EXCITED!)

I got to many running around here on my porch and in my yard. But my mother loves them.

Also eco earth is better than sand since it’s easier to pass through the digestive system. Your gecko will have a great life in your tank from what I see!

It’s a 4 month old video and you guys probably already fixed it, but with heat mats, don’t forget to leave some airflow under the tank to make sure the heater doesn’t get too hot and break or hurt your gecko

What you can do with that calcium you can pour a little bit with the mill worms or whatever you’re feeding them and then shake it up and that way they’re dusted with calcium

I really don’t know if you changed the size yet but the tank needs to be 20 gallons and they also need a lot of coverage!

Where do you buy the tiny lizard I’m trying to find it but Can you tell any storage

This video was from a while ago but don't use sand or eco earth use reptile carpet are paper towels bc they can digest the Coco fiber but like the sand, the Coco fiber will be good for a humid hide you can put that and moss in it

I have a couple of things to say. That is a baby gecko It needs a 10 gallon tank but when it becomes an adult a 20 gallon or bigger tank . They do not need a lot of humidity they need it for one hid to help with shedding and need at least 3 hides

How did you get your leopard gecko on your hand because I can't get mine on my hand

Adorable leopard gecko, just a few recommendations I wouldn’t recommend using a blue and read light because it’s unnecessary and harmful. They really only need the uvb light and heat light (along with the heat mat)

How to order this tank kit for gecko

Bro they didn’t give more stuff like the hiding spot and heat pad because they’ll have to make it more pricey 🙄

For the moss under the hide, you will need to get it damp not soaking wet, and put it on the warm side of the tank. I wouldn't recommend using the light bulbs they provided because the colored lights will, later on, affect their eyesight. Just some tips, but other than that you guy did an awesome job!!! :)

oh shoot i didn’t know light bulbs weren’t good for them that’s currently what i have on my tank but i have a heat matt coming in on saturday he should be ok for another day i hope

What did you name him? Thats so cool!!! We had geckos in our house in Hawaii on the Helemano Military reservation. They would make a barking or chirping sound at night. I always got surprised when I opened a cabinet and there was a gecko hiding inside! Thanks for sharing !

Please use a thermostat to regulate the temperature of the bulbs so they don’t overheat and burn the gecko

You don’t necessarily need a heat lamp or any type of lamp it be good for like a lamp that could keep them warm at night but like other than that a heating pad should do just fine

when I got my leopard geko I got all the same stuff

Hey uhh if you are reading this um you should swap out the log hide where the heating pad is because leapord geckos for some reason they like for the heat hides to have to entrances/exits and in the rock hide put moss all in it and dampen it down every day if you are reading this

You need live bugs for it so they can eat

You guys should have set up the tank before getting the gecko and u need 3 hides a cool hide,warm hide and humid hide

What do you use during the day? Ceramic heat emitters aren’t a good primary heat source since they only produce IRC, no IRA or IRB. A temperature drop at night is fine.

the gecko probably won’t just take a lick of calcium. you should toss whatever insect you’re giving him in the powder then give it to him

Eco earth is not the best but it is okay I give it 3 out of 5 Stars and sand it not bad it could be if you calci sand but regular sand is not bad I don't recommend it to be in the safe side but sand is actually not bad.

Any sand can impact the immune system of a leopard gecko, reptile carpet is better then eco earth and sand. It is safe and has very low impaction probability.

@@logantesta1938 Yep I agree I use reptile carpet but the thing is You have to clean it EVERY WEEK that's one thing I don't like Lol I'm tryna play minecraft here 🤣 But yeah sand could give impaction but only if they you know have improper husbandry cause when they aren't fed the correct vitamins and more they start to find other stuff to eat like sand DONT EVER USE CALCI SAND but yeah 😁

Carpet is not a good substrate. It harbours bacteria and tends to get caught on their teeth and claws. Paper towel is good temporarily and a soil/playsand mix is best as a permanent substrate.

Once your leopard is grown up put him/her in a 20 gallon tank so leopard gecko can be like my little girl

Carpet is not a good substrate. It harbours bacteria, tends to get caught on their teeth and claws, and doesn’t offer any digging enrichment. A suitable loose substrate such as a soil/playsand or soil/sand/clay mix is best.

How cone leopard gecko are so cheap in the US , in the UK they like 80 pounds or like 90 to a 100 dollars

Reptile prices are a lot of times based on how many are being breed and how many are available. Since leopard geckos are being breed a lot and they are available they are cheap. Other than some other reptiles that aren’t breed that much or they are hard to breed they are going to be more expensive.

There’s a KZread channel called Leopard Gecko, if you haven’t found them yet. She’s a great channel for leopard geckos and crested geckos

I wouldnt use the blue and red lights. Use a uvb and a heat emitter

You are not supposed to hold it as soon as you get it or it will not eat I have a leopard gecko and I made the same mistake

This tank is great for a baby btw. Just make sure to upgrade to a 20 gallon long once the baby gets bigger:)

This is like 3 years later and I hope you have changed it but they don't need humidity you should just give them a humid hide! Maybe add some fake plants and stuff! They may not need the light but they thrive with it

I’m not sure, but most kits are terrible. Leopard geckos should ideally have a 40 gallon or bigger.

Heat mats aren’t a good heat source. A halogen flood bulb connected to a dimmer/dimming thermostat is the most natural and beneficial option, Arcadia’s deep heat projector is the second best option. They produce IRA and IRB like the sun, heat that penetrates deep into the skin tissue and heats them far more effectively than heat mats. Whereas heat mats only produce IRC, which only heats the surface of their skin.
