Tengo lo mismo... desde 1986. Soy de Polonia. En aquellos días, conseguir o comprar un casete o CD original era una gran experiencia. Mi primer CD fue Behavior en 1990... ¡pero ni siquiera tenía un reproductor de CD en ese entonces!

Its "SO HARD" to believe that this was 25 years ago, and PSB still going strong. Thats what I call a pop career. They are nothing if not imaginative. I was glad to be there at the start, and it will be a sad day when it comes to an end.

Love the role reversal here,you can tell Neil is not playing that bass-line on the fairlight live! Great track though, one of my fave album/remix tracks of PSB. Always thought the brilliance of 'Paninaro' was how experimental it sounds,like something you could knock-up in your bedroom, but at the same time being a huge musical statement of what Neil and Chris stand for.

i think i can remember discovering Paninaro. Me dad took me to a paper shop and they had Opportunities 7 inch vinyl on a rack. You could buy vinyl almost anywhere in those days

Coming into Leeds City Station on the train for FA Cup 5th Round against QPR. This on the Walkman in conjunction with the simply massive Leeds mob suitably attired in & around the station. Never forgotten it. A perfect fusion.

It has a fairly unique sound i just can't pin down. Love the rawness of this and the OGWT performance.

So glad to see Chris was not hiding himself! 😆 😆 😆

Neil is so cute

As a sound engineer I can say the probable reason this track is lip sync is because Niels vocal has a double-tracking vocal, and Chris at times has an echo. Its quite hard to sing it live without sounding very flat. Additionally, artists charge higher fees for live performances, so it may have been a choice of the TV production company to do a lip synch performance.

Well said. Live mixes can be tricky to set up quickly where the original track has a lot of processing on the multi, especially on the vocal.

These guys are legendary in their own right. You think they give a shit if they miss a vocal track. They we're making music with $ 500,000 + in equipment, which not even Duran Duran did in their career.. I always met cat's in Los Angeles, who talk a big game in the industry, but don't have the big dick to back it up. Can't be a porn star every day.. Cheers!!

The Tube was always as live as possible so I would have thought that the vocals were at least live to a second track or using effects and the parts Neil is playing are at least the correct notes at the correct time. Would have thought that the Fairlight would be sequencing everything as that's the way they like doing it, although the recorded vocals would have been more if a challenge, although the Fairlight might be fitted with enough memory for the backing vocals or it could have been synched to something else to provide the backing. The OGWT performances of Opportunities and Later Tonight were 100% live with two Fairlight's for sequences.

Most of the bands that appeared on the tube did indeed play live, a few might have done live vocals to a pre recorded backing track as the pet shop boys might be doing here

The vocals might be live, I think the backing is playback, most of the bands that appeared on the tube did play live this might have been a rare exception ie difficult to get the right sound especially in a small TV studio
