I just watched the movie “all of us strangers“ and there is a bit where this song comes on and I just started crying really hard in the theater and I couldn’t figure out why. I only recently lost my mother to a battle against cancer. It was devastating. But this song dislodged a memory I forgot. When I was really little, my mom would play this song a lot and we would sing it together and I guess I forgot all about it. What a great song. I’m so grateful to be able to hear it again.

The 80's was the absolute best era for music, I was 26 in 1987, and I love all the many hits the Pet Shop Boys brought to the airwaves!

You know, one of the best things about being in my 50's now is that I lived my teenage years in the 80's..........Priceless and I wouldn't change them for the world!

Yes agree, everything was just balanced right, great tunes in the 80s with flamboyant looks, clothes and makeup, no lefties, wokes and tech was just about right esp into the 90s

I was born 1987, but I much love retro music, how many years ago, but we still enjoy. Golden 80-s!

Thank god I was a teenager in the 80s. So unique and special to everyone who lived through those years.

I lost my 12 year old daughter to Covid on 09-25-2020. I could have SOOOO much more as a dad. L-O-V-E this version (it was my favorite since it came out) Now I love it this much more. Thanks Neil for the song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So so so sorry to hear that...burying a very Dear friend today because of it and looking like his wife is going to probably be within the next week because of it also.........No words can ever TRULY be said to ease your pain,, lost my daughter right at birth time..........dont know your religious beliefs ,,,, but sending up prayers for you and just try (( TRY)) to stay strong, cause try is ALL we can do.....J......

I probably watched this live at the time. Top Of The Pops was a staple in my house. What an amazing cover...and what a great time the 80s were.

Really a lovely song because it brings me back to my school days . I grew up hearing Pet Shop Boys . Go West was another superb song that rings through my ears and heart ❤️

Wow brings back wonderful memories growing up in Manchester England in the late seventies and early eighties watching top off the pops on a Thursday night with mum dad and all my brothers and sisters loved my childhood in England we were very poor but we as all together living in a council house my 6 brothers and 2 sisters and mum and dad still can remember having chips and peas and a hot cup off tea

If there was ever an already incredibly famous song that someone else did a version of and successfully made it their own, this is an outstanding example.

This was the first time I ever saw PSB. I was ten and I’ve been a fan ever since. Saw them live last week and they just keep getting better and better.

The best thing about this version is that Neil Tennant sings it at almost the same tempo as Elvis did, so for all the brash electro sounds it’s still a faithful cover.

Ooh, i love this song very well😊😊😊 When im hearing it, remember my youth days in my home town. Yes you´re always in on mind. The Pet Shop Boys are simply great

I'm 42 and recall my parents playing the Pet Shop Boys album throughout my younger years. It's no doubt sparked my love for electronic music but my my my there's something about the rift and key changes in this song that gets the hairs on the back of my neck standing up..these guys are the absolute masters and without doubt one of the reasons electronic music exists..🙌🏼
