In CH🇨🇭I learned that you must have a diploma for a cat or a dog. A relative of mine in CH has a diploma for a dog but she has a cat.

Nice job with the PSA type video. This kind of video should be shown to teenagers. I've known more then a few young, 20-somethings who've gotten pets only to get rid of them, within a year or so.

My brother seriously asked me if for any reason I couldn't take care if the kitten he gave me that I would give him back to him. I told him he's family now and he's not getting him back. My brother adopted a cat nor knowing she was pregnant. He has the momma cat and two of her three kittens. Obviously I have the third. Plus another kitten I saved from under my man's aunts house. Momma cat got vaccinated and fixed before released back. The other kitten got the same except he was adopted. It's scary how many people abandon animals and don't do any research on different breeds especially exotic animals. I have sugar gliders and the rehome rate for them is super high. I got a rehomed female glider when she was 8months out of pouch. Her first home was with a breeder until she was 8 weeks oop. Then some guy got her. Then my sons friends mom got her. I convinced her to let me take her and give her a better life. My other female that with my two boys refused to accept her. I ended up starting a second colony to give her a furever home with me. My first female was older when I rescued her and passed away. I then got the second female and her neutered male cage mate in with the two neutered boys from the first colony. They have very specific and precise diet needs. Plus are very expensive for approved toys, pouches, enrichment, safe wheels, cages. I spent over $18,000 for everything in the past 4 years for them.

Thank you for making this video. Saving it for future reference. I live in NYC and our municipal shelter is in crisis -- overcrowding due to owners not being able to care for their pets financially, Landlords not allowing pets or certain types of dogs, or high fees to have a pet; people are now abandoning their cats and dogs on the city streets instead of taking them to the shelter. Add in the increase in euthanasia commands and the overwhelmed rescue organizations. It's a sad time for animals & those trying to help them stay alive. We need local leaders to do more but not enough support.

Thanks so much for posting this important message. We have adopted many critters over 29+ years: dogs, cats, horses and goats. Most from shelters, many that were rejected by their initial owners. We love our 4 legged family!! 😍😘😘😍

Great video. Over the decades we have adopted several cats dumped by careless people near the house. Last year one white cat appeared again but this time i called the animal shelter and they took her away. I decided i will not adopt any more. It's to much for me😔.

Unfortunately we do not have the resources to get active everywhere, although we do our best to help as many animals as possible. We receive similar reports about animals in terrible conditions on a regular basis and are sadly not always able to help. Local authorities or veterinarians are far better equipped to help. @Dxevi it is breaking my heart . Vets here want to put him down just because they don't do spine related surgeries ( he was hit with a stick on his back and left in the streets ) . He is full of life and love and I offered to pay everything to get him out of Iraq but no hope . Even if abroad, I will cover his expenses and transport . I just need someone to give him a chance Thank you for everything . I will try to contact them .
